Think Smaller

It is not only adults who can have a vibrant, growing relationship with God. It is said “You have hidden these things from the wise and learned, and revealed them to little children.” We need to discover new ways to nurture and encourage their faith and to help them explore how to follow Christ in their environment.

It is said in the gospels “The harvest is plentiful but the workers are few.” Already across the world many are seeing that there is a role that children and young people play as workers in the harvest. Children may not know everything as an adult does, but by using their knowledge of the gospel and the enthusiasm of youth, they are able to pray, to share and to serve in their way.

We need to re-think our expectations of the smaller members of the church community.
