This product never arrived due to Amazon's dumbheaded policy that third-party stores cannot change addresses once the order is placed. This is really weird since if you ordered directly from Amazon you could have changed the address, as long as you're willing to put in your credit card again.
FedEx policy is that only the shipper can change the address, but they can do so trivially by making one 30-second phone call. The vendor for this product refused to do so, citing their agreement with Amazon. That's really stupid on their part, Amazon's, or both.
In my case the product did not require a signature so it was dropped off at the old (wrong) address in front of the door. FedEx then attempted to go back there to retrieve it but of course it was gone. Now I'm out the money and have no cartidge. I ended up ordering directly from HP, which cost quite a bit more money but the product arrived promptly a few days later, and since it's an original product rather than being refurbished, I assume it will last longer at higher quality levels. | 1 | Today | Better than the off-brand
I've had my HP 1100A for years and have used both the cheaper, off-brand cartridges (like from Staples) as well as the more expensive HP brand. I always buy cheaper if I can get quality and reliablity, BUT in this case the HP brand has proven better, consistently. One specific difficulty I've had is the off-brands do not always fit precisesly. I recommend the genuine HP product, in this instance. | 5 | Today | Get one before your old one runs out.
It's a great toner cartridge for the HP 1100 series printers. As far as I know, it's the only option for said printers. Mine has lasted through about 18 months of regular home use (several thousand pages) without running out. I recommend ordering one when your old cartridge starts to show signs of running out, so you don't have to run out and search for one when you have something urgent that you need to print. The only place I've seen that can beat this price on a new toner cartridge is Costco, and only by about three bucks. | 5 | Today | BEST VALUE
