Only complaint is that the mouse runs out of batteries quite quickly (say 6-7 weeks of usage). 3 Today Good product - but be prepared to handle a heavy mouse! I trust Logitech for PC accessories like mouse, webcams and speakers. This one was a good product too. I bought this in 2004 and it is still working fine. The only disappointment I had was the weight of the mouse - when you insert 2 AA batteries into them, they become so heavy (especially if you are used to the lightweight USB corded optical mouses). So I stopped using the mouse and have been using just the keyboard. The customization keys (for yahoo/hotmail and other websites) haven't been of big help - may be the instructions weren't too user-friendly. So I ended up ignoring this feature. Very smooth to handle - not much noise while typing. I would recommend this product for those who don't care about the weight of the mouse - this is probably the best deal for you folks! And the price of this (~$30) hasn't changed for 2 years now!! 4 Today Good Product I am pleased with this product. I set everything up myself, had not problems, and everything is working well. Initially i didn't trust the wireless keyboard and Mouse cause of the problems that i generally encountered with other brands and models but this Logitech Cordless Navigator Duo is great. As soon as i plugged it in i had to press only 3 buttons to enable the keyboard and the mouse... No problems whatsoever till date. In addition the range for this is arnd +50ft that is awsome.... hey i have plugged my PC into my Home Theatre sys. be confident and have no hickups whatsoever.... Get rid of those messy cables......... 5 Today A pox on the cordless mouse! Just in the last 30 seconds, the mouse has skipped, paused, and jumped about 3 times. It is incredibly annoying. I used a Logitech cordless mouse (a portable one made for notebooks) before, and loved it, but this one is driving me crazy. (It may be that I have to move the 'station' closer to the mouse, but it's only now at the foot of the desk.) The keyboard is nothing special. The keyboard of my IBM laptop is more comfortable, though I think the plethora of "action" buttons on the top is useful. Unfortunately, the Internet access buttons do not work with the Mozilla Firefox browser. 2 Today This is an excellent Keyboard And Mouse I purchased this from Amazon and I got this in two days with free shipping. Just plugged in receiver to USB port and insert the batteries. Amazingly both keyboard and Mouse started working without any settings or restart of my computer. Howerver you need to install provided software if you want to use complete multimedia keys. I am using this for my Compaq presario laptop. All keys are working fine after I install the included softwre. Great package and great deal from Amazon. 5 Today Great technology that works Need a wireless keyboard and mouse combo? The Navigator Duo will do the trick. Set up is quite easy: plug in the two receiver cables into your computer and push a few buttons. (It's just too bad the instructions are confusing.) One further comment on set up: be sure to heed the instructions and put the receiver away from your monitor, speakers, etc. Once you've completed the install, you can enable the encryption of the keyboard signals. A word about that: without the encryption, it is technically possible for someone to intercept the signals sent from your keyboard to the receiver and capture your keystrokes (think passwords, credit card numbers, etc). So, I highly recommend that you enable the keyboard encryption! The mouse and keyboard both are easy to use and feel comfortable in your hand(s). The mouse provides a definite "click" sound and feel when you click, so you'll never wonder if you clicked or not. The scroll wheel is pretty smooth and rolls easily, with just a bit of resistance so that you'll know you really are scrolling. The keyboard can lay nearly flat, if you wish, and gives a good amount of feedback on keypress without any loud clicking noise. Some people may think the keys are a tad on the soft-side, but I don't think it'll be a problem for anyone. 4 Today Very Mac Compatible! Great keyboard & mouse combo. A previous reviewer gave this product 1 star and said its Mac compatibility was poor. IMHO, his/her reasoning is flawed. (not having enough USB ports on your machine is not a valid reason) Either buy a more modern machine, which has more ports, or buy a USB hub. The reviewer also claimed that the mouse required a PS/2 port in order to be used. It does not, and is wireless just like the keyboard. I personally own 2 of these for my 2 Mac's at home and have given one to my Mom for Christmas to compliment her iBook. They all work very well, and are very customizable and easy to use. The only complaint I have is the lack of an ON/OFF switch to save the batteries. However, I just bought some rechargeable AA's, and all is well. Very good product with high recommendations! 5 Today Not really Mac-compatable... I have an older iMac with 2 USB ports and no PS2 ports. The receiver needs one USB port for the keyboard and one PS2 port for the mouse. That means only the keyboard can be used out-of-box. The iMac keyboard has 2 usb ports, one of which I use (as is common) for my mouse. This frees up my other USB port for my printer. Even if I hook up just the keyboard, I am left having to choose between my printer and my mouse or buying more hardware (a usb hub) to get just a cordless keyboard. 1 Today Very Good It is the best deal I have ever found in computer add-ons.
