I exclusively purchase Western Digital brand drives from 80GB to 750GB in both ATA and SATA. I currently have four WD2000JB ATA drives in a simple Promise RAID 5 array in my custom built Windows Server 2003 system. They have been running continuously 24/7 x 365 days for the past two years with no problems. Although I should be using Enterprise-class drives in a business situation the cost of these were very attractive. When you purchase an "OEM" drive you don't get cables unless explicitly stated. I have dealt with their warranty department many times all with acceptable results. I highly recommend these and any Western Digital drives. 5 Today No cables supplied No cables are supplied with this item. I've tried to order them directly from WD a week ago, but they seem to have lost my order. I've upgraded my computers over the last twenty years, and this is the first time I haven't had a cable with a disk. It should say cable required. 2 Today DO NOT BUY THIS DRIVE!!! As a 20 year veteran of the IT industry, I have always recommended that people buy Western Digital drives. I had NEVER had a problem with one until the WD2000JB drive. I have now had 100% failure on these drives--my 3rd of 3 that I purchased has now died.
