BIG sound, SMALL price! In my office we've had everything from this set (which I bought for $19.95) to speakers costing up to $349. These get the most compliments and are the coolest looking 2.1 set out there in my humble opinion. Hard to go wrong, even for $50. You won't be disappointed!	5	Today
Headphone jacks LOSE CONTACT I am very agitated with this crap. The whole contraption is excellent instead of the headphone jacks. The jacks aren't build to stand the over-use of them which means that they only reach contact with one headphone speaker, and I gotta even press the headphone cord in SO HARD that it will have contact with both speakers. I did not find any solution to this problem.	2	Today
Highly recommended: great sound for a good price. Apparently these are discontinued or for some other reason unavailable. I found my set on ebay. Do what you have to do to find them. I bought them on acution for $25 plus $15 shipping. If you find them for $50, still buy them. These are low-end (in price) with a very good sound. As I write this, I've been listening for about 15 minutes. Way better than standard issue computer speakers. Way! They look funky, so if appearance is an issue you may want to pass. As another reviewer notes, you may have to buy a connector if your computer audio card has a small 1/8th inch style receptacle (don't know the technical name). Radio Shack has this type of jack for about $5 dollars. Also, they have no balance dial on the controller pad. However, these days operating systems come with audio controller software, so you can adjust the balance through your computer. I'm quite satisfied. Don't know why they appear to have been discontinued...but if you're looking for good quality at a modest price, spend the time to track these down.	5	Today
Great quality for an inexpensive product I rarely write reviews, but for the XA3021 I have to login and put a few lines. For $20, this is the best buy ever for me. Incredibly clear response on all frequencies, strong bass and hiss-free. You can't go wrong with this one, unless you can't find a place to put the odd-looking speaker pieces. Absolutely the best bang for your buck! I bought these off of BUY.com for $17.99 with free shipping. Probably the best deal I have ever gotten off the internet! I hooked these up to one of our TV's and the difference in sound is amazing! These little speakers sound really great and pack a ton of bass response! I had to turn the bass down because it was too powerful! The sattelite speakers have a really ambient sound to them, and listening to the digital music channels through my sattelite is outstanding through these! For under $50, these can not be beat! The wired remote is a bummer, though, but for $17.99 I won't complain!	5	Today
Altec Lansing XA3021 Cheesy Look But Great Sound I was looking to replace my malfunctioning Aiwa stereo system that I had hooked up to my computer as my computer's speakers. I found the system on XA3021 on buy.com for $19.99 and almost bought it right then and there (before my traditional epinions check) because of the price. But I checked it out on epinions and everybody seemed to enjoy their system. I also thought that the system looked kind of cool with the grill covers. The best part of it was that everybody else paid $40+ for their system. I was very excited to have a sound system for my computer that had a separate subwoofer. When the system arrived, the installation was pretty painless. The XA3021 comes with two satellites speakers, one subwoofer and an attached remote control. The remote control has the volume control, the power on/off button and three preset equalizer buttons ('TV', 'Gaming', 'Bass'). The speakers are relatively small (4.4 in x 3.8 in x 6.8 in), but the subwoofer is actually quite large (8 in x 8 in x 14.5 in). The subwoofers for the systems that I've had at work are no where this big. Make sure you have the room for this subwoofer before you buy it. The subwoofer actually looks like a small torpedo. When I first pulled the system out of the styrofoam, I was kind of disappointed with how the speakers looked. They looked kind of cheap and flimsy (now that I've had them for more than a month, they don't bother me ... much). The XA3021 comes with enough connections to do what I want. It has a line-in (RCA composite), audio input (mini-phone stereo 3.5mm), and 2 headphone hookups (on the remote control for easy access). One nice feature that I haven't used yet is that it comes with video cable to help extend the reach of your sound/video source to connect to the TV. I really like the fact that the remote is attached. It may be one more wire but I never could find the remote to my Aiwa. I like not having to worry about it, and having the headphone jacks on the remote is very convenient too. I think the XA3021 performs wonderfully in the little room that I keep my computer. I haven't had a chance to crank it up like I want to because the computer room is right next to my 10 month old daughter's room (so shhhhhh). When she has been awake, I've turned up the bass and the volume and this thing sure sounds nice. The subwoofer definitely has a little punch to it, much more than my Aiwa. The XA3021 did an excellent job with my music ranging from classical to Rock. Playing computer games became a lot more intense with the subwoofer.	4	Today
Best audio bang for the buck There is little to say about this 2.1 system since once you turned it on, you are instantly awed by its sound. The bass is strong, and the sound is clear and the system looks great. For $20.00 (shipped) this would be the best audio system you can get for game playing. I have personally gone to Circuit City, Best Buy, ... to test out other 5.1 systems and compare to this one that I currently have at home. Those are nothing. I also tested it against some other 2.1 sytems from Logitech and Bose but this one stands out as the best (especially when you look at the price tag).	5	Today
GREAT SOUND FOR THE $$$$ just buy them the sub thumps and the speakers are crystal clear and there is 3 eq modes on the remote that mostly ajust the bass and there is also a bass volume nob on the sub. Buy them they are so cheap they are awsome and if you want really good bass and dont want to spend alot of cash these are for you.	5	Today
Boomin' Sound - Boomin' Price! Besides having a very cool retro look to it, this system has awesome quality sound! It is very easy to hook-up to your TV,VCR,Game console or computer. You will have to purchase a connection cord if you want to hook it up to your computer but it's only a couple of bucks or so (well worth it). A cool feature about this system is the control console it comes with - which controls the bass, tv/gaming modes. For the low price and quality of the speakers, it's totally worth the purchase!	5	Today
im not really a kid but these speakers are sweet ok these speakers are so freakin nice. i just got them in the mail today and i hooked them up about 45 minutes ago and they sounded awsome the bass is so nice it is alot better than i expected it to be i mean it shakes everything and i am not exagerating at all. if like to listin to music or play video games and movies you have to get these they are awsome!!!!!!!	5	Today
