Mine is the black expandable SMART750XL with 8 outlets. Inside is an insanely loud 80mm Delta fan. It runs non stop. It took their not so bright email tech support three seperate emails before they admitted there is no thermostatic control of this noisy fan.
It is unusable inside a house. I wasted one hundred twenty four dollars delivered from another web seller.
Don't try to replace the non standard fan like I did. The unit will lock up and recognize a fault. Even unplugging the batteries won't clear the fault. | 1 | Today | The fan is way too loud
I initially thought that this was an okay UPS, but I changed my mind. I hate it.
I bought this UPS from another vendor, so first let me address some of the bad information on this page. The Tripp Lite SMART750XL UPS has 8 outlets, not six. So if you order this UPS from this page, I don't know what you'll get.
But that assumes that you'll order it in the first, which I don't think you should. First of all, Tripp Lite customer service is non-existent. If you have any problem with this UPS, you're completely on your own.
Second, this UPS comes with an extremely loud fan. Unless you plan on hiding this UPS in a closet or some data center, it will drive you crazy.
The only reason why you would choose this UPS is so that it's the only consumer-grade UPS with eight outlets. I thought that was going to be useful, but it isn't. You're much better off buying two UPSes with 4 outlets each. Chances are, those smaller UPSes will cost less than half as much as this one, and they'll be whisper quiet. | 1 | Today |
