I love the red and green light feature which lets you know when the cookie should be done and every time it was right on. 5 Today Very disappointed This press must have been defective. It took much longer to make a pizzelle than was suggested, then it very inconsistent in the amount of time it took for each one. They always stuck, even with cooking spray and extra oil added to batter. The little measuring device was too small to get a full sized pizzelle. Now I don't know what brand to buy. Very frustrating and disappointing experience. 1 Today Makes Authentic Pizelles I bought this pizelle press to replace another one, which did not have the traditional grooves/plates. I am very happy with my purchase. The indicator light is a little tricky the first few times (it doesn't turn off until about 1/2 way through the cooking, and then turns on when the pizelle is done) but once you understand how it's going to work, it's fine. I found the recipe book to be pretty good, although I would argue that traditional pizelles are made with Anise flavor, not vanilla. I plan on making the Chocolate ones tonight, rolling them with the enclosed tool, and filling them with mocha mousse for dessert. Yum! 4 Today Just the right size! I was already pretty sure this pizzelle press would work well as most Cuisinart products. What I didn't know was that the size of the two pizzelle forms is perfect. I previously had one with larger forms because I thought the very small pizzelles were too small. Sometimes, however, small children and others prefer smaller pizzelles. This model solves the problem. The forms are larger than 'small' but a bit smaller than 'regular'. 5 Today Pizzelle Iron This was to replace my other iron, love the fact that you can get 3 done in the time it still takes for only 1. 5 Today I only wish I knew! I'll bet this is a a dandy pizzelle maker but I can't say for sure since we have yet to see it--I gave it one star ONLY because the program insisted I do something in that space. I've ordered it twice but DHL can't seem to figure out how to get it there. (and yes, I've double and triple checked the address...) 1 Today pretty perfect pizzelles! It is foolproof. Just follow the directions and pay attention to the red and green lights and the cookies come out perfect. The recipe provided was good, you may want to add anise to make them more authentically Italian. 4 Today SUPER PIZZELLE MAKER I love this little appliance! It's compact & does a fantastic job of making crisp little cookies. I've used it several times since I purchased it and it makes a batch of delightful cookies in no time at all. I had my husband make a small wooden cone shaped roller that I use when making these cookies. When the cookie comes off the grill, I quickly put it on the roller & roll it into a cone shape. When cooled I fill each with whipped cream....YUMMMMY! I'm very pleased with this appliance and would highly recommend it to anyone who is in doubt about purchasing it. It is small and stores in very little space. It heats quickly and there is virtually no clean up....one of my favorite features.
