I am so glad I bought this product! I was storing my blades in the styrofoam insert they came packaged in. Not too pretty. This holder is great. This disc holder is very attractive and sturdy. I have no trouble with the lock. The only problem, which totally amazed me, is that the bottom is completely open. If a child should turn it over, they could reach inside and get badly hurt.I have no kids around so it is fine for me and i love it. | 4 | Today | SAFE way to store blades
This is a well-designed box. It holds the blades and discs without dulling them and locks very securely. Read the directions carefully because the latch is not intuitive, but once you understand it, it's fast and totally secure. My husband and I were given a Cuisinart Food Processor as a wedding gift and we love it. The only problem was where to safely store the blades and discs since there isn't sufficient room within the body of the processor to do so. This attractive, compact holder solves the problem. The blades and discs fit neatly into their specified compartments and the lid locks into place preventing any accidental contact with the sharp instruments. Theory is great (how else do you store all those discs?), but the execution is poor. Plastic is cheap. Lock doesn't really work properly. Most importantly: it only holds 3 discs. What are you supposed to do with the rest of them? Buy another case, apparently. But then you have to figure out what case the disc you want is in. This holder provides a safe way to store the sharp blades and keep them in view. It doesn't hold some of the accessories like the mixer attachment parts, though. The latch leaves something to be desired. To unlatch it, you have to pull the knob out and turn it. It does hold the basic accessories and blades, and it is a lot better solution that leaving blades loose in a drawer. | 4 | Today |
