| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Great wireless controller This controller by Logitech is awesome. My recliner is about 15 feet away from the Xbox, and it works great, no missed buttons. instant response time. Make sure to invest in some rechargeable batteries though. | 5 | Today | Simply The Best No other controller comes close and I've tried several. Once you go wireless like this you will never go back to corded. Thanks Logitech! | 5 | Today | Not For Serious Gamer Use I found this controller to be good for only about 20 minutes. After that, the buttons and analog sticks sticks start to have a reaction time that usually gets you killed or makes you lose a race. I did buy it refurbished though, I'm not sure that that would have made a difference. I will definetly never buy this controller again or anything else by Longitech. | 2 | Today | Great shape, good quality. I love this controller. I have small hands for an adult, and the pad fits me well. I like the shape better than even the now-standard Controller S shape. I have no problems with delay or drift. I haven't used the D-pad, but the thumbsticks and buttons work great, though I'm not a terribly heavy user. This pad works better than either the Pelican Eclipse or Soul that I own. My Madcatz Lynx is better, but way too big for my hands. I like the feel of the plastic. The only thing I would change would be making the thumbsticks a bit shorter and concave on top, though I've never had a problem with grip. | 4 | Today | Older is Better! What the last reviewer is correct, besides the fact the older one is better, heavier (which feels more secure), and larger which is good for people with long fingers and small hands.
Overall either one is great, though. The wireless capability adds incredible ease to the fun of playing and also provides you with a weapon if whoever you're playing with makes you mad enough! I guess for this, the new one would be better since it's cheaper and throwing it at somebody wouldn't be as expensive... | 5 | Today | Didn't hold up under average use I purchased this Cordless controller to replace a damaged Controller S. We were quite happy using this Cordless model as our primary game controller even though the slightly different feel from the Controller S required some getting used to. But overall, the benefits of a cordless controller outweighed the minor shortcomings.
For a period of about three months, we enjoyed great performance. However, soon after, the "A" button would feel as though it was sticking slightly after pressing it. This eventually became more noticible when the button would not return to its up position as quickly as it used to. The "click" feeling was also gone as well making gaming even more difficult. As time went on - the "X" button shared the same fate.
The buttons are not spring loaded. There is a flexible piece of moulded rubber underneath the buttons that obviously looses its elasticity with continued play. This appears to be an obvious design flaw -- that should have been exposed with a few thousand button presses.
We could take the frustration no longer and purchased another Controller S.
As a result, this has become our "visitors" game controller with the obvious handicap imposed. It was a great idea, just wasn't up to Logitech standards. | 1 | Today | Logitech Cordless Controller The near perfection of the Controller S pretty much renders third-party controllers worthless, at least corded models. Microsoft still hasn't provided an official wireless pad and has not indicated that anything is in the works. The fact that it's extremely difficult for a wireless system to transmit so much (Xbox Live) data in an energy conserving way probably has something to do with it. And Xbox Live remains a problem for any wireless controller. Though this Logitech pad cannot be used with Xbox Live -- it lacks a memory card slot for the headset -- it is an outstanding little device. You get everything you need for effective gaming without the tether: flawless communication, excellent general design, long battery life, and rumble feedback. If you have a large room, or simply want to clean up your gaming area by skipping the wires, then the Logitech pad should be your weapon of choice. It's expensive, but worth every cent.
| 4 | Today | Best Controller Ever This is a beautiful controller for several reasons. I have big hands and this conforms to my hands perfectly, my hands fit to it naturally. Another thing I like is the ruggedness of the thing, it has heft and weight to it, a solid, quality feel, with quality rubbery like plastic, so it feels good to hold. It is not cheap feeling plastic like some other controllers.
I would especially recomend this for you if you have big hands like me.You won't feel as cramped as you do on the stock controller supplied with the box, also if you like things that feel solid and sturdy then this controller will be right for you.
| 5 | Today | wore out in less than a year As noted by another reviewer, the rubber joystick pads wore out and were unreplaceable. After improvising with rubber bands, the controller itself then became unusable, drifting and not moving where the right joystick was pointed.
This product was great for about six months, but I cannot recommend it due to it's short life. | 2 | Today | Logitech is missing the boat Run do not walk away from the Logitech counter. When the rubber pads wore off my game pad I was willing to pay for replacement parts. Their 800 number sales line was delighted to tell me to call their toll call help line and sit on hold for 20 minutes. According to Logitech these parts are not available for replacement regardless of wether or not you wish to pay for them. This is a terrible example of customer service. Logitech has enough brand recognition apparently that it does not need new customers. I personally will never buy another Logitech product. Companies who refuse to support their products will not get my business. | 1 | Today |
