Okay, but not great
I've had other ergonomic keyboards before from Adesso and really enjoyed them. This keyboard however is flat, which is not at all what I wanted. The function key support is alright, but sometimes malfunctions. As has been noted previously, the 6 key is on the wrong side of the keyboard. The software interface for the keyboard is patchy at best and does not always work well. The USB ports on the keyboard work okay as long as you're not plugging in external storage devices; for some reason, the devices have a nasty habit of disappearing from the desktop. About all that can be said is buyer beware, this may not be exactly what you think.

don't bother
Buying this keyboard was a mistake. Yes, the keypads are separated, but flat isn't great if your wrists really need ergonomic. More annoying is the poor quality--one of the keys doesn't have a spring, meaning you lose quite a few letters while typing.

Great Keyboard
I purchased this keyboard for my wife for her Intel Imac. On her previous "other "ergonomic keyboard, keys kept falling off. This just works great. She was used to the number 6 being on left, it's on the right side.Adesso Intellimedia MediaPro Flat Ergonomic MAC USB White Keyboard with 2 USB Ports ( AKB-805MAC)

Adesso ergonomic keyboard for Mac
I have been using the keyboard for about a month now with no problems The new mac keyboard is next to impossible for anyone with large hands to use Once you try an ergonomic board you will never go back

There are better keyboards out there!
There is very little for this company to be proud of about this product. It is Mac friendly in that it has all the same buttons as my original keyboard, which is exactly why I chose it online. If I could have felt how light and cheaply it was made, I would never have purchased it, which is my guess as to why I didn't see it in any of the stores I shop in. Also, the power button doesn't work at all on the keyboard. The other functions seem to work well enough, but as far as life expectancy, I give this one 6 months to a year. My last PC ergonomic keyboard was built like a tank and lasted so long I wore the bumps of the f and j keys. I have recently found a Microsoft keyboard that is Mac compatible and as soon as i find a wireless one, I'll buy it - even if I do have to configure buttons. This just makes me wish Mac would develop an ergonomic keyboard! The one that came with my Mac was very sleek and well made, but I really need the ergonomic one. The Adesso has got to be the cheapest keyboard I've ever touched and I'm 43. So don't be suckered in by the cheap price, you will definitely get what you pay for or a little less.

Great keyboard
Great, long-lasting keyboard. This is the second one of this series that we've bought and we'll likely buy another one next time we need an ergonomic Mac keyboard.

keyboard
The keyboard does not perform what it says it does for Mac OS-X. The function keys do not work, yes I did install the software that came with the keyboard. Disappointed!

Not for me
This is the second ergonomic keyboard I've owned. My previous one had a similar shape and style, but it got too old, so I upgraded to a new one. Pros: --The angle difference between hands is very comfortable for me. --I like the split space bar. --The two USB ports is a plus. --The shape and style in general is comfortable for my hands. --Most of the extra buttons at the top are very useful (back, forward, stop, refresh, search, favorites, web/home, media controls, mute, volume, close, print, stickies, Sherlock2, Mail, calculator, sleep, power). --Adesso customer service was very prompt, efficient, and friendly. Cons: --The keys are very stiff. When I bought this from Amazon, it arrived with a Delete key that was stiffer than the other keys. I contacted Adesso and they very promptly replaced the keyboard with a new one. However, while the Delete key was now the same "stiffness" as the other keys, all the keys in general require more hand strength to press than my old keyboard, or even the generic keyboard that came with my other computer tower. After eight months of using this keyboard, I've finally given up and bought another one. While I don't have wrist pain, my typing speed has slowed dramatically and my error rate is high because of the stiff keys. The key stiffness might not affect someone else, but I've come to dislike it in the months I've owned this keyboard. (For my new keyboard, I went to a local electronics store and tested out the keyboards they have on display. I decided on the Microsoft Natural Ergonomic 4000 because it felt very comfortable to my hands.)

Great ergo keyboard, few minor gripes
Generally, this is an excellent keyboard for the mac. Yes, its flat, not bowed, and the keys are not clicky or positive in their response, but its not mushy either. I have two of these, and have experienced no manufacturing issues with either one. The keys are reasonably comfortable to type on... certainly no worse than most keyboards I've tried. Unlike many ergo keyboards, the 6 key is in the right place for touch-typing, and the extra-large meta keys are wonderful. My only gripe really is the placement of some of the ancillary keys is a little strange. Backslash/Pipe is on the bottom row, to the right of the shift key. As a programmer, this is a very annoying placement for this key... I'd rather they had made the Return key a little smaller and left backslash in the more common position. Also, because they chose to include F13-F15 keys (why?), Forward Delete, Page-Up & Down, and Home/End all get pushed down one row, making them awkward to hit. All-in-all, its a good keyboard, and I liked the one I got for work so much, I bought a second for home use. If you want an Ergo keyboard and don't mind adapting your typing habits slightly for those infrequently used keys, this is an excellent choice.

I wouldn't buy it again
As other reviews have pointed out, the choices for "ergo"-shaped Mac OS keyboards are pretty sparse. I bought this keyboard in January 2005, and I don't think I'd buy it again. First of all, Adesso's support of the function keys (across the top) is pretty lame. I've had to bug them for updates, and even with the updates, a few of the function buttons don't work. Also, the key action isn't for me ... the keys are spongy-feeling, and the travel is too long. I also find that the keys bind if you hit them even slightly off-center, which I find rather annoying. But it's a matter of taste ... clearly some people like the action/feel of this keyboard. Someone mentioned that they don't care for the Microsoft Natural Elite keyboard, but I prefer it. Too bad it's only for Windows.
