a skateboarding game? Do a few tricks, but it's just riding around! Those people probably never played Tony Hawk. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 for Xbox has an extra Cruise Ship level. If you aren't used to these controls, a big tutorial will help. It features Tony Hawk's voice in the tutorial! Many games that have the following traits usually don't change much through the series:
-Non Action/Adventure category series
-Endorsed by pro of sport
-Yearly release
Tony Hawk is one of these but it changes quite a bit unlike EA Sports titles and those type. EA Sports charges 50 bucks for a remake that barely ever changes. If looking for a fun game, this is yours.

Tony Hawk 1 was a classic, I wish they would make it for Xbox....But Tony Hawk 3 is the best. I have played this game over and over and never get tired of it. You do everything on a skateboard on 3, unlike Underground which I dont care much for. The career levels are great with different scenery everytime. Thank you, Tony Hawk, for finally forcing a game developer to create, distribute and support a good skating game. Great artwork, physics and maps are all hallmarks of this cutting edge video game. The gameplay is excellent and the corses are challenging. The variations on the controls allow the user to be creative and still achieve the goals. I am still learning new tricks and raising my point levels. The inclusion of the manual trick has completed changed the game and opened up tremendous new opportunities for the user. Excellent buy. This game is a lot of fun! Like all games, it does take a bit of practice, but you'll catch on soon enough. You don't have to be a skateboarding fan to play this game. There are so many levels and goals to reach that you'll soon become a Tony Hawk fan if you aren't already. The music is good, but it does get a bit repetitive. Thankfully you can put your own music on. This game is great for all ages. | 4 | Today | Awesome! Expect 4 to be even better to!

With each new Tony Hawk release comes higher expectations. Tony Hawk 3 met and exceeded those expectations. More eye-boggling special tricks were added as well as the essential Revert trick, which, like the all powerful Manuel, allows players to link tricks together and create HUGE comboes for maximum points. Bigger, more realistic looking levels are just BEGGING to be tricked on. The variety of multiplayer modes will give you and your buds hours and hours of entertainment. Create-a-Park and Create-a-Skater are included again, and have been much improved. Not having to buy tricks or stats (stats have to be FOUND instead), and also being able to outfit your character a LOT more thoroughly makes for a much more innovative gaming experience. Being able to listen to your own music instead of being forced to listen to the game's music can make playing more enjoyable. Ollie, the Magic Bum from THPS2 is a playable character! There were only a few aspects of the game that I didn't particularily like. The first one is the fact that most of the soundtrack for the game wasn't very good. It was just too mainstream. The other thing I didn't like was that on Create-a-Park, there was a limit to the number of gaps you could make. Something that other people may not like is the control sceme. If you think about it, it's VERY similar to how the N64 controller worked with the Tony Hawk games. It might take a little getting used to, but the controls are fine. If you still don't like the controller, I suggest for you to consider buying the new, smaller, easier button pressing controller made by Microsoft. It's called CONTROLLER S. Avoiding ending on some bad notes I will simply say this: If you are an Xbox owner or are thinking of being one, then you NEED to get this game. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 3 stands tall as one of the best console games out there. I have owned all three Tony Hawk games, the first 2 on N64 and the 3rd on Xbox. I found this one to be the best of all of them for a couple of reasons. 1. The levels are more complete and are bigger and more interesting. The graphics are also much better, but this is probably just because I played the other ones on N64 which is inferior to the Xbox. 2. This game is not too hard, but not too easy. I found the first game to be extremely easy and I got all 30 tapes with every single character. The second one was a lot harder and I could not get to the last level. Some things just seemed impossible and it was frustrating. THPS3 is in between. Although some of the goals you have to complete are hard, others are relatively easy, and usually you can advance to the next level without becoming very frustrated. 3. The new system of finding the stat points and new decks is much better than the previous two. In the first one you automatically got stat points and decks when you got a certain number of tapes. Then in the second one you had to buy both, which I thought was dumb because you can't just pay to make yourself better (for stat pts). For decks the money thing was fine. Sometimes it is hard to find the decks but it doesn't really matter anyways, its just a different design. 4. This game has great replay value. This is because of the creat a skater and the Make your own skatepark modes. I reaally enjoyed this in the second one and it is better in this version. I don't know if it is just me, but with the tony hawk games I play them for a really long time. I still play the first one! Overall almost everything about this game is perfect, with only a few minor flaws that aren't that bad. I would reccomend it to anyone who skateboards, has ever watched skateboarding or would just like a game that is fun and has amazing graphics. | 5 | Today | Just when you thought Tony Hawk 2 had it all, here comes 3.
This game is simply amazing. Just when you thought that there couldn't be anything left to grind or jump left in the video game universe, they bring out Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3. With amazing graphics, a fantastic soundtrack, and exciting gameplay, this game is awesome. The X-Box handles the graphics superbly, and once the enormous levels are loaded there is no lag during your runs. The Soundtrack features some of today's hottest artists, plus theres even the option to load your own songs using the Xbox soundtrack feature. If you're a fan of the first two Tony Hawk games, or a first timer, then you have to go out and get this game because it is one of the top 5 titles currently available for Xbox.
