| Review | Rating | Last Updated | I enjoyed this almost as much as the first (when the first first came out).
Honestly, I did. But not in the beginning. When this game was at the pique of my interest, I enjoyed it as much as the first.
The first, however, the music I believe was more memorable.
And it was "sunnier". I'm a pretty upbeat person, but I'm also real.
That may sound like it adds nothing to the review, but when I played the first I liked the sunny levels, to only get the drearier and "more complex-musically" levels once in a while in between.
If I recall correctly, this game had more dreary levels, which was fine but something about the first games' levels, "Sunny Beach", "Dolphin Park", etc, etc, were a bit better. Maybe it's because I played the first first. Maybe not.
The music was much brighter and "poppy" then (if you will).
This game does do some things better however:
-character amount grew from a measly 4 to 8.
-the graphics are better. duh.
-the rumble made it more realistic.
4.25 stars.
End note: Now this is what I call an underrated game. Maybe an underrated series. NO ONE that I knew could handle these games like I could. No one wanted to. And if they did, they were too young, like a cousin...So I played both alone.

This game is got to be the best water game out there in my opinion. You have so many options to go in, and I think it's overall fun. When I got this game I found myself playing it for about 4 to 5 hours straight. I got into this one alot. At first the controls were alittle tricky to learn all the moves and stunts but then I got the hang of it quick. It's not hard, they take you step by step on how to use the controls for moves and stunts right on the game and you can go into it when ever you want. The free roam is great, and the stunt mode. The racing is fantastic. All the modes are great. You can even choose what location you want to ride in. My favorite is Dolphin Park. Especially in Free Roam Mode because the Dolphin follows you where ever you go. The graphics on it are way cool. I have alot of fun with this game. It truly is the best water game out!!!!!!! And it's really fun with 2 or 4 players. It's Great!!!!!!!!!!! | 5 | Today | this game sucks
Ok, first off, this game sucks, reason why is because the controls are so touchy it just takes the fun out of the game when you finally get first place and then go around a bouie with out trying to hit the wall, and just completly turn around all in all, i gave the game 3 stars becuase of the graphics, the grahics are awesome. if your the kind of person who likes taking 8 monhths to learn the controls then this game is probably for you. | 3 | Today | ONE OF THE BEST ON GAMECUBE
This game is probally the 2nd best jet ski series out. It has beautiful graphics, challenging gameplay, and lots of cool tricks. Racing is very fun and freeride is where it's at. I know freeride? Yes, I love games with freeride. It gives you a chance to explore and be free. That is why i love freeride.
The games have been coming since Wave Races first appearance on the original game boy, then to nintendo 64, and now with the gamecube. I love this game, but the is a better jet ski series out.
It is called SPLASHDOWN. It is for the PS2. SPLASHDOWN RIDES GONE WILD IS THE BEST JET SKI GAME TO DATE.
Buy wave race and if you have a PS2 get Splashdown and SPLASHDOWN RIDES GONE WILD. If you are awed by wave race you haed will explode with splashdown.
Still Wave Race Blue Storm is a must have if or if not Gamecube is your only system.

This is a game that you just gotta buy! Personally, I hate racing games, but I could go for hours on this game. The graphics are beautiful, the soundtrack is rockin', and the players are cool. I have a sister and she, my dad and I go head to head all the time. It's a great way to bond, and now my dad isn't as opposed to gamecube. This game is amazing. I actually felt wet while I was playing it. It has realistic graphics and real problems that you run into while jet-skiing, like large waves, fog, storms, and sun glares. This is a totally amazing game. The only way it could be improved is if they added more courses, but otherwise, they didn't seem to run out of ways to keep me happy! The graphics are great, they look really real, like the water is reflective. This game is amazing. I loved it. | 5 | Today | This game rocks the house!
If you like to race, this game is a great alternative to all of the road and snow racing games out on the market and is a great addition to any any collection. This game is wonderful! A year ago my friend got a GameCube, and this was his first game. He let us try it out. After me and my sister played it, we both said: LETS GET A GAMECUBE! Wave Race Blue Storm is truly one of the best games ever made!!! Compared to the N64 version, this is a wonderful improvment. Better graphics,(WAY, WAY BETTER!) especially the water and that beautiful sun! More players to choose from, More stunts and tricks, and more ramps to do the tricks on!! A must buy!!! P.S.
