Good then bad then I called Tech Support I bought the DWL G-122 to use in a laptop while on the road. It worked well for about 8 months then only intermittently. At first I thought it was my laptop and almost paid $1000 to replace it before I started checking out the adapter. Good thing I did. I tried everything possible to bring the G-122 back to life without success. I finally called Tech Support. There is no Tech Support unless you agree to be robbed. I can almost buy a new adapter for what they want for Tech Support help. This is my last D-Link adapter.	1	Today
Orphan adapter comes through I wanted to connect my new Tivo to an old wireless router ("B" series). My computer geek friends told me to try to get a "B" USB adapter. They are basically a discontinued item since newer routers have come on the scene. I was able to find this through Amazon and it worked like a charm out of the box with no configuration necessary. Limited utility since all new laptops come with built-in wireless cards, but if you have a spare USB port on your desktop and don't want to mess with installing a wireless card for your B series router this is a good solution ....or your Tivo, of course.	5	Today
For the hacker in you Here it is, in all its glory, a USB wireless adapter with the Prism chip set. What does that mean? Well it means you can sniff packets. If you ever found yourself itching to break into your neighbors WEP protected wireless network, this is the adapter for you.	5	Today

Avoid NetGear and Apple OS X Got a deal on this WG111 v2. No mention of anything but windows on the documentation. Called support. NetGear does not support OS X. And it appears that one option is to PAY for a driver but that doesn't seem right. I'm returning mine.	4	Today
works great with Tivo I bought this to allow my tivo to update through our wireless internet network. Like the person who commented below, I gave Verizon the boot after much frustration, and do not have an analogue phoneline anymore. This was basically "plus and play"; all I had to do was plug it in and follow the on screen instructions (once I figured out that having the USB adapter to close to the Tivo recorder was causing some interference- it must be on a USB cable about 2-3 feet from the Tivo, wireless router and any things like coreless phones etc.) The only problem is that you HAVE to use an analogue phone line for initial set up of Tivo service, but this is a Tivo issue and has nothing to do with this product. Once you haul the Tivo over to a friend's place to use their analogue phone line for the initial set up and get any software updates, this works beautifully.	5	Today
TIVO savior If you have tivo, get this. You can not find a tivo compatible adapter in the store. This is old school, but it works.	5	Today
Do you HATE the phone company? This thing can help you stick it to 'em. The last thing I needed my local phone company for was my TiVo. Although TiVo was the ONLY ONE WHO EVER USED THE PHONE, I still got outrageous bills. Anything over 15 miles is long distance? Are you kidding me, SBC? So I VOWED that this was it. No more. No more SBC. And I hung up the phone full of righteous indignation. Then reality set in -- I don't have an alternative. Life without TiVo nearly made me bawl like the spoiled American I am. So I did what I always do in this type of situation -- I asked Google what to do. Google and TiVo told me what to do. Be sure to check the TiVo site to get the right kind of adapter for your version of TiVo. Buy this. Plug it in. Shoot the bird in the general direction of the phone company. Works for me I have had this product for almost a year and have used it on my PC desktop and on my lap top. I haven't experienced any problems to date. For me, it does what is is supposed to do. I'd buy it again.	4	Today
No problems once I got the latest driver I've got an old blue G3 mac that doesn't support Apple's Airport. I couldn't find any Mac compatible wireless cards other than Airport. The D-Link's USB adapter was the only wireless solution I could find. I bought this adapter a year ago and initally had problems with it. It would work for five to ten minutes and then stop. I had to resart my Mac everytime it stopped working to get it to start again. I downloaded the "latest" driver on D-Links web site, but that didn't help. I emailed D-Link's tech service, but their advice didn't work. At the same time, I posted my predictament on a few message boards. Someone responded with a link to download a current version of the driver (1.47) that wasn't on D-Link's site. Since installing the new driver, I haven't had any problems with the adapter. It meets my needs and is fast enough for me. I would have given it five stars except that the tech support is lacking. There's no excuse for D-Link to not have the latest driver on their site, and no excuse for their tech support not to offer the updated driver.	4	Today
