| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Great small-size keyboard. Good tactile feel. If your priority is small size, this is a great keyboard. It's about the size of a laptop keyboard, and as with laptops, the "non-typewriter" keys (ctrl, alt, and arrows) are smaller and positioned oddly, usually around the edges. The keys have a smooth but definite tactile feel...important for touch-typists.
| 4 | Today | Disappointing! - there's only one CONTROL button.
- the CONTROL, ALT, DEL and WINDOWS keys are really small - I hardly ever hit them unless I look down at the keyboard.
- DEL is right next to the left-arrow key - so you'll often hit it when all you want to do is move the cursor left.
- the stupid tilde-backquote key is right between the space bar and ALT - senseless.
All in all, what I've experienced is this - for "plain" textual typing, it's fine - all the alphabet keys are very usable, as is SHIFT and ENTER. BACKSPACE is fine too. But the navigation keys are very hard to use. And combine that with the points I listed
above, it's one big disappointment. It's SO short, unnecessarily so - the makers could easily have added 2-3 inches and made it much more usable. As a chronic RSI sufferer, I wanted a truncated keyboard that allowed me to keep my mouse closer - even a normal keyboard without the numpad section would have been just fine. This keyboard is overkill; it sacrifices too much useability in trying to be smaller. I advise against buying without trying. And if you do try it, keep in mind the various kinds of typing and applications you work with - documents, email, programming tools etc. It's definitely NOT programmer-friendly. | 2 | Today |
