| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Melitta One:One I like this coffeemaker a lot, but there are a couple of points to know about. (1) it spits coffee onto the counter, even with the spout in the lowest position (Melitta's solution to this problem); (2) the water container is pretty flimsy and I expect the lid to break sooner than I would like; (3) you have to learn how to get the water container seated exactly right and it's a little tricky. if you don't, the machine freaks out and won't brew even when the water is in the right position. when this happened to me I unplugged the unit for a while, and then it worked again. The customer service email in the booklet bounced back (of course), so I would have had to call if I couldn't fix it. That said, I like it and it's a decent single serve coffee maker. The coffee is almost hot enough and the taste is ok, but there isn't much choice in this type of coffee maker and I am happy with mine. | 4 | Today | useless My college daughter and her friends have followed the directions NUMEROUS times and cannot get a decent cup of coffee. Don't waste youe $$. | 1 | Today | My tea machine - I really like it I purchased my first one:one machine about 4 years ago. I just bought three more (one for our beach house, one for the office and a spare for at home). I use it every day to make hot tea. As others have stated in the reviews, the water hopper does not hold much water. For one or two people it is ideal for hot tea because it is much quicker than heating a kettle of water. The tea this makes is much better than the microwave. I do not use the Melitta tea bags - they make very bitter tea. I love the Republic of Tea Breakfast Blend in this machine but any round tea bag works like Tetley British Blend. I use bottled water in my machine and you can refill it while it is running if you need to make several cups of tea. Overall I really like this machine! | 4 | Today | Great one cup coffee maker! We just bought this machine in white for a steal of $8! I figured for that price it couldn't hurt to try it. My husband often has a cup of coffee or two before work. With a regular coffee maker we find that we waste a lot of coffee. With the Melitta One:One he can make just a cup or two and it is perfect! We used a couple of different pods with it, the Senseo pods and Folgers.
However, I do agree with some reviewers. It would be nice to be able to brew a larger cup of coffee! Also, the coffee was not as hot as a regular coffee maker usually emits.
For those complaining about not having foam, buy an espresso machine! This is just a straight forward no frills coffee machine! | 4 | Today | Don't waste your money I was very dissapointed in this product. I wasted $60 for a leaky machine with very few choices of coffee. Just save up a few more bucks and get yourself a Keurig. | 2 | Today | Terrible Results... If you hold your cup of coffee close to your heart, like you do with your loved one, you will want to avoid this machine. I am an avid coffee drinker, and I had received this machine as a gift. Now I like to stick to a pure coffee brewing system by using a French press (hot water + coffee); but I do own a Senseo for when I'm lazy. Compared to my Senseo, the coffee Melitta produces is terrible... Compared to the coffee we drink at work, made out of the cheapest beans money can buy, the Melitta result tastes terrible. The best tasting coffee I could make with the Melitta came from using two packets of the dark roast blend (you need to put in one packet, then brew one cup, and insert another packet and brew another cup), anything else and you will get a very dull flavored, bitter, and watery coffee. A co-worker has this very same machine, and she crams the Senseo pods into the Melitta, and does get ok results.
2/5 starts because it does make coffee quickly and cleanly. | 2 | Today | great this does exactly what it says it will. only probem is it only creates five or eight ounces of coffee..only fills a tradional mug 3/4 of the way. plus, java pods are difficult to find in store. so be prepared to purchase online. | 2 | Today | moderately satisfied change to four stars.
this was a gift for someone who was not too impressed with it. she said the coffee was ok. i don't drink caffinated coffee so i can't review it.
she kept it an has been happy with it. i like the neatness of the product - how little counter space it needs. | 3 | Today | sad that you can't find permanent filter We bought the Melitta ono:one single serve coffee maker for our daughter for Christmas but are very disappointed that it ONLY uses Melitta pods. The Senseo pods are too large and it runs over and makes a mess. I have a permanent pod/filter for my Senseo and I like that because I can use regular loose coffee. Why doesn't Melitta make a permanent pod/filter unit for their single serve pot??? I would NOT recommend anyone buying the Melitta due to the fact that it only uses Melitta brand pods and they are difficult to locate. | 1 | Today | Not better than good. I planned on asking for a Keurig B40 for a gift. Then I saw this at a local store for $20, and decided that I needed to try this. The model I bought was the older version and clearly returned. I decided I would set it up and decide. I did all things required to properly set this up. Its loud, but for me thats not an issue. I like the looks and it makes ok to good coffee. The problem I had was that every single brew at the end, hot water would trickle down the spout and into the mug. I just can't take that. I decided that this wasn't for me and returned it and am hoping for that Keurig. Not a horrible product, just not for me, but if that leak thing doesn't bother you this is a good one. | 3 | Today |
