This is the second Sharp YO-P20HII Organizer w/Pen that I have owned. The first one I purchased through Radio Shack lasted me for 2 years. There is so much memory on this organizer. It has two separate phone directories (1 for personal information and 2 for business information). When my organizer finally died I went back to Radio Shack to purchase another one, however the company no longer had it in stock. I went online and found that Amazon carried the same type of organizer. I definitely would recommend anyone this item. 5 Today VERY basic With 2 disabled children, I needed something that could help me keep track of appointments and organize my busy day. The "schedule" is pretty much just a list. I would have preferred some sort of calendar view. I pretty much use it as an electronic pad of paper; recording things while on the go until I can get them down at home. The "memo" list keeps everything in alphabetical order and reverts to the beginning every time you delete something. Mildly annoying to me. I probably would not buy this again, but you can't expect much for $20 these days. 3 Today Very difficult to set up. I found this a very complicated set-up. Since my old Sharp organizer is still working, I'm continuing to use it. Will tackle the new one again when I have to. 1 Today It is what it is This is a good organizer for someone who is in middle or high school. Or maybe even for someone who loses things easily so does not want to spend a lot of money on an actual palm. Its okay for what it is but it did not fit my needs. I ended up having to buy an actual palm and I gave this organizer to my little sister to play with. 2 Today PDA-lite I have owned two Palms and two iPacs which kept me organized when I was a manager. I have broken three PDA's over the last six years. Now I am retired and decided I should try something that had a lower cost, but provide me with some of the organizational features I like in a handheld. This orgnizer fills my needs for addresses, notes, and calendar. One of the features I really appreciate is the thin, lightweight, flip-open, protective case. I purchased an extra organizer for a 6th grader. She read through the instructions and mastered the instructions in less than an hour. This organizer is an excellent value for basic use. If you are addicted to Palms or Window systems, prepare to take time to learn how to use this organizer. It does seem to be what I need for my overly busy life. Thanks, Sharp !!! 4 Today Good Organizer for me I'm fourteen and I got this to put my schedule in it for work. I don't start working again until April but so far, this is working pretty good for me. The price was fair and the delivery was fast. I got my package 3 days before the estimated arrival date. It works good, but you have to push the buttons just right for them to work sometimes. The manual is semi-confusing, still haven't figured out how to set an alarm in the schedule. The manual says that you can, but doesn't tell how. I haven't used everything, but so far thats the only issue. 4 Today Poor buying experience- disappointing unit - no help This product was purchased to help a student with organization. It arrived minus a stylus and with a previous user's data still on it. An e-mail to the vendor yielded a form response and no help. A follow-up e-mail produced the stylus some four weeks after delivery of the Organizer. Of the product itself, the display is dark and hard to read, and the alarm for the to-do list is all or nothing. One cannot set the alarm for selected events - something that was not clear from the description. Furthermore, documentation shows a procedure for setting the alarm that includes tapping a symbol that doesn't exist on the display. A request for help on the Sharp site, has yet to provide any assistance two weeks later. Poor buying experience and disappointing unit. Recommend spending more and getting a unit with better features and from a different manufacturer. 1 Today Scheduler Sharp YOP20H 1MB Electronic Organizer After reviewing the item. I was disappointed with the software. My computer would not load the software and the cable was not set up for ease of downloading. After the purchase of the additional cable and having to upgrade the software thru the internet.
