Not bad for the money
I purchased this set as a reasonably priced alternative to All Clad. Pros: Reasonable cost, complete set looks good hanging on your pot rack Cons: 8" fry pan is prone to tipping when empty, e.g. when being heated with only a little oil in preparation for searing. The glass lids are heavy and the perimeter metal not well finished. The copper stripe around the base is for decoration only and has started to peel off on one of my pots. Conclusion: Not a bad set but for the serious cook it makes more sense to buy individual pans suited for the different cooking needs. Stainless is best for browning, searing, and pan frying. It's definitely not non-stick so if you like eggs over easy, better buy a non-stick pan.

Great cookware!
I love this cookware! It took a bit of adjusting for me to get used to stainless vs. non-stick but I'm glad I made the switch!

Frankly Emeril, I don't give a BAM!
I received this cookware set from my wedding registry after comparing and contrasting what seemed like ENDLESS sets of pots and pans. I could not be more DISAPPOINTED in my choice. Two words for you Emeril: Plastic Stickers. I have had the cookware for about a week and a half and have not even been able to use it yet, because the superglue used to affix the warning stickers to the INSIDE of the pots will NOT come off. I have soaked (for a week), I have dishwashed, I have used several pot-safe scrubbing solutions . . . NOTHING. Still gluey residue that I am not eager to feed my future husband. On EVERY SINGLE PIECE. I moved all my meat to the freezer because it simply cannot wait around in the fridge for these pots to get their act together. What good are any of these special surfaces, layers of different metals, and "durable" finishes if you practically have to scrub them off (for two weeks) just to use the pots? If this wasn't a gift, I would return it. I would even pay the return shipping out of pocket to have it out of my house.

Now, we're cookin'!
I was a bit leery about getting a brand-name set of pots and pans, wondering how much of our money was going to the materials and how much for the "auteur." But our new Emeril 10-piece pot and pan set is everything that this amateur cooking family wants in cookware. The see-through tops make it easy to check on the progress of our meals. The pans are well-balanced, heat evenly, feel solid and and are capacious. The set is easy to clean, whether in the dishasher or by hand. The pieces are also handsome, and fit together fairly well when stored. So far, they have kept their shine. After a month or two of use, we have not regretted getting them. One more thing. For cooking omelets, the entire pan can go into the oven, since the handles are solid metal, without plastic or wood insulation that might be damaged by the heat. Bravo, Chef Emeril!

Help with Stain removal please!
I just got the 3qt Emerilware stainless steel saucepan. I like the way it looks, and I like the positive reviews. I come from years of non-stick pan usage, and am a rookie with stainless steel. No instructions were in the box with the new pan, and I didn't realize that I need to keep the heat on low and increase it slowly. I kept the heat on medium and used non-stick spray. In any event, I now have a thin layer of brown stain on the bottom of the pan that I cannot remove. I tried scrubbing with soap and a nylon abrasive sponge. That didn't work. Then I tried boiling a combination of water and vinegar in the pan for about 15 minutes. That helped slightly, but most of the film is still stuck to the bottom of the pan. The next thing I want to try is Bar Keepers Friend, but I don't know whether the powder or the liquid is best, or if the "cookware" specific product is best. Does anyone have any advice in this matter? Also - if I promise to put the head on low and increase it gradually can I avoid this problem from happening again, or will this be an on-going battle?? Thanks in advance!

Great cookware!
I wanted to try Stainless and I'm glad I chose this set. I followed the directions that came with this set regarding cooking over lower heat and not heating an empty pan and I have yet to have anything stick in any of this cookware. I start low and raise the heat as needed to avoid food sticking. They heat evenly. They clean up nice, too! The only things I don't like about this set are that the lid handles can get hot and they are on the heavy side. I think that's par for the course with a better quality stainless though.

Emerel or Puck?
OK, here's the way I see it. I am a developing cook looking for some decent cookware. After reading the reviews on the more affordable brands, I narrowed it down to the Puck line and the Emerelware line. I have some of both along with a few higher end Calpholon non stick pieces (which I absolutely love). I got the Emerel pieces first and have been very happy with them overall. When looking for some more pieces, I was impressed that a couple of the Puck pieces came in first for performance over all other brands including All-Clad in Cook's Magazine reviews so I decided to give Puck a try. In comparing the two, here are the winners. For price, Puck wins as they are a cheaper. Quality I have to give to the Emerel line as they have a much better feel and seem much better put together overall. Performance seems comparable in both as both perform pretty well. Look has to go to Emerel as again, they just look better in appearance, quality, and construction. So what do you do? My advice is that either one of these brands would be more than sufficient for 90% of cooks. For the other 10% (which I plan to be one day) I would still go ahead and buy a set of either then replace them with higher quality pieces slowly as it becomes affordable. Oh, and one last observation. The cooking utensils that come with the Puck set are a complete joke. Best is just to count on them as decorations for your pot rack. Hope that helps! Oh yeah. ..I was also surprised to see some of the reviews complaining of food sticking to these and them being hard to clean. I have never had ANY PROBLEMS with sticking to these or the Emerell. . .or in fact to the cheapo stainless pots I got at the thrift store to use in my classroom (I teach handicapped kids daily living skills like cooking). My suggestion to people having problems with sticking is to go NON-STICK all the way. This is obviously a problem with the chef, not the pots!

Superior quality cookware!
Outstanding Product. My wife really wanted a quality set of pots and pans so we recently purchased the Emerilware. We have been using this set for over a month and are very satified. It takes a little bit of time to get used to heating them, low heat and then to medium is recommended. Very even heat distribution even on and electric range. Cleanup is a snap, all that is needed is a gentle scrubbing from a "green weenie" pad. Like others have mentioned he lids get very hot. Cannot compare to the cheaper stainless sets on the market. HIGHLY RECOMMENED, you will not be disappointed.

Very good cookware...
I left a previous review about residue in the bottom of the inside of the pots and pans from the sticker... this eventually came off. I've had no problems whatsoever with this set. Everything cooks like a dream and I have washed them repeatedly in the dishwasher and they come out just as shiny as when I purchased them. I highly recommend this set for the price.

EVERYTHING sticks to these pans!!!!
I'm an experienced cook so I can assure you I'm using low heat and various things like butter, Pam, and olive oil to keep the pan lubricated. I've made everything from hotdogs and scrambled eggs to mexican pizza and french food. EVERYTHING sticks to these pans! It's frustrating and unbelievable. My crappy old T-Fal pans work better than this. Good thing I kept them on hand because I'm going to use those instead.
