| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Just like All-Clad I'm very pleased with this purchase. I owned several All-Clad cookware pieces. This is my first Emeril set and I found they handled just the same as All-Clad. I only wished they come in a little lighter weigh. | 5 | Today | Very pleased with this purchase I purchased this set over a year ago and have used it heavily ever since. I switched from a non-stick set, since all the warnings about teflon, etc. I have no problem keeping them clean - I have used bar keepers friend, but prefer "Kleen King - stainless steel and copper cleaner" that my uncle sends me from California. My mother used that cleaner for her revere copper bottom pans for over 30 years and they still look fabulous! Anyway, the pans are great - I don't care if they are "professional" or not - I use them to prepare meals for my family of 5 every night and they do the job well. What more could you want? They are heavy, but thank goodness not as heavy as the All Clad set my neighbor has. That in no way is meant to imply they are flimsy. I have been happy with my purchase every day, and that says a lot coming from an engineer who analyzes everything! | 5 | Today | Excellent cookware I love this cookware! It cooks evenly and when I am done, I throw it in my dishwasher and it comes out sparkling clean!
| 5 | Today | Price+Quality = Excellent Value They're a great value for the money. The major difference with this line and the All-Clad brand, is that All-Clad is made in America, and Emerilware is made in China... All-Clad owns it, it's just a much less expensive brand. If I had the money, I would buy All-Clad, but that's not really an option. This set is the best value I could find, and my Wife is extremely satisfied. We did have one issue with the 3-quart casserole pan. One handle had a slight drip at the rivet point. All-clad is in the process of issuing an RMA so that it can be fixed if they deem it covered under warranty... I can't see why they wouldn't but you never know.
Also, All-Clad recommends cleaning the pots with Bar Keeper's Friend, which I have found to be very good for cleaning these pots. Make sure not to use too abrasive of cleaning pads... otherwise, the pots look great after cleaning. | 4 | Today | Great Cookware at a Great Price I have the new 10 piece set - everything is the same except there are more pieces. Every piece was made to perfection. I have never used stainless for cooking before, so I read the comments of others and followed three simple instructions: 1)keep the heat down; 2)simmer water to clean and 3)use bar keeper's friend to restore shine. Following these simple instructions, I have to say cooking in these pans is a delight!
The weight is good (some people complain about it being out-of-banace - hooey.) Construction is great, finish is superb. Handles DO stay cool, and by design are made to be up and away from heat source (long handles do require more storage space, but I hang mine on wall so no problem there).
These, along with the cast iron pieces I use, may be the last cookware sets I need to buy! | 5 | Today | Some People...... Try turning the heat down when cooking with stainless. You bring the temperature up - not flash fry on the 'blast furnace' setting of your stove and expect things not to stick to ANY stainless pan. Second, you don't need to season stainless - you do that with cast iron. To clean the pan, you just put some water in it and a little liquid dish soap and let it SIMMER. OR you can blame the cookware. Whichever you're used to.
Second, if you don't think this stuff is made by All-Clad, then go to All-Clad's website. You'll see the link to Emerilware right there. Somebody's always gotta be the wise guy and flood these reviews with garbage.
I own 2 sets of these, and numerous All-Clad (proper) cookware. All work just fine if you know how to use them and how to properly conduct online research and match what you want AND know how to use, to what's out there.
A good tip for stainless users: like any stainless, it can "discolor" if you do certain types of cooking. No matter how many times you wash them, they just never look "new"... Well, next time you're at the store, pick up a can of "Bar Keepers Friend" in the cleaning isle. Your stainless will once again shine... | 5 | Today | don't buy it!!!! This set is awful!!!! There is nothing that seasons these pans, everything sticks and burns no matter how much oil or butter you use. We have the non-stick Emerilware and love it. For 2 cents i would throw this in the garbage. | 1 | Today | This is a GREAT deal! I went shopping and looked at this cookware and just about every other brand in production before I purchased this set online. For the money, Emerilware is way above average. I gave away a set of Magnalite that I used for years because I wanted something dishwasher safe. This was it! Is this "professional" cookware? I don't know and don't care, because I purchased this for home use, not a commercial kitchen. Home kitchens and commercial kitchens are completely different worlds. The cookware we see in stores that claims to be "professional" is simply designed to LOOK like the "professional" stuff, but is intended for home use. Visit a restaurant supply store sometime and try to find the same brands---you won't find them. So we all need to get over thinking we own "professional" grade cookware, wherever it happens to be manufactured. I really like this cookware. The performance is outstanding, the price was right, and it looks brand new after months of heavy household use. | 5 | Today | Buyer beware. This cookware is NOT made by All-Clad. This cookware is made in Korea (All-Clad is made in Canonsburg Pennsylvania, and is not up to All-Clad standards. There is a big difference between this and the LTD line of All-Clad pans. While this set might be better than, say, Farberware, it's not All-Clad. It's not professional cookware. | 2 | Today | Wow--what an incredible set for the money!!! I am a big fan of All-Clad cookware, and I was shocked--shocked--at the quality and value of this All-Clad produced set! One tends to look for corner cutting in the way this set is made to explain the low price, but everything is first-rate, both in materials and workmanship. The handles are decidedly more comfortable than the standard All-Clad design (chalk one up for Emeril's design input, I guess), and the non-stick finish looks like it will last a long, long time. Although I pondered the 10-piece set, I went with this one because it seems like the better value. | 5 | Today |
