These blanks have been the BEST I've ever purchased for my Sylvania Recorder (which takes only 8x discs). Have had a problem with other blanks where there is a lagtime in beginning to record, or problems with putting several different items on one disc, but, after several months, have not had EVEN ONE PROBLEM yet with these discs! They also play all the different items on a regular player (which hasn't always been the case with other brands of blank discs). 8x discs are harder to find, so if they are what you need, grab these reasonably-priced fine discs. | 5 | Today | About 300 burned so far...

I use a Sony burner. I have had bad results with Memorex. I have also had bad results with Verbatim DL disks, so I am not a Verbatim fanboy.
But I have burned 300 DVDs to date using these inexpensive disks, and I have not had one, not ONE single problem due to poor media.

I have a peculiar DVD player/recorder that only accepts DVD-R 8x or less.
All I can find in the stores are the 16x. After finally finding one that works, I went on line and found these Verbatim at a very reasonable price. the product came very quickly which is a goog sign. they were in rapped spindle no damage to dvd's. they just didnt work for the product i bought them for. they were advertised as,
(Verbatim Shiny Silver DataLife Plus 8x DVD-R Spindle, 50)
and i recieved 16x dvd-r. my symphonic -rw\-r dvd recorder for my television is very specific in what it will use ive been having problems getting the right ones to use for my recorder so when i seen the product as advertised with the verbatim name at 8 x's i bought them. other than recieving something i didnt order the disk are working fine in another recorder i have on my computer. | 3 | Today | Excellent Product

I have used well over 100 of these disks with virtually no failures (certainly no more than one or two percent). I tried the white-coated version and for some reason found at least 20% of them to be bad. Verbatim makes an excellent DVD disc. The DataLife Plus appears to be the best of their line. Of all the discs available, only Taiyo Yuden is comparable. For anyone new to DVD recording, don't waste precious memories by purchasing a lesser quality product in order to save a few cents. I can only recommend the two brands mentioned, you'll be quite pleased. | 5 | Today |
