I bought this recently and it was easy to use. Most people have written on the positive side of things so I will just add some shortcomings. It can only be used for power point presentations. It would be better to use Keyspan or something like that which includes power point presentation and a mouse as well. Secondly, this does not have an auto time out. I tried it the night before but forgot to switch it off (there is no LCD light anywhere so one does not realize it is switched on), and the next day when I tried to use it at a presentation it was out of power! I am highly disappointed in this product. First, the laser pointer does not work. Second, the presenter does not opperate on a "plug-n-play" type of system. The presenter is designed to operate only if inserted in the USB port PRIOR to start-up. So, I cannot simply walk up to any computer, plug in the adapter, and use the presenter. I absolutely LOVE THIS THING!!! I use it in a classroom and it works flawlessly from every angle... even from in my pocket across the hall! I love the case and that the antenna stores seamlessly in the back. Amazing product!
The timer feature is a bit gimmicky to me and I could live without it. The 5-minute-only increments make using it kind of pointless and I tend not to feel the vibration when Im heavily into running my mouth, but that's just me.
Plug it in and it just works out the box flawlessly on XP, Vista, OS X, and Ubuntu Linux using PowerPoint and OpenOffice Presenter since they are just simple keymappings. Likely works in Keynote too but I havent tested that yet. I've even re-done the keybindings in VLC so I can use it to navigate through DVDs. Works great!

This presenter is awesome. You can start-up or end Powerpoint presentations, put up a black screen at anytime, and there is a volume control for Windows. I use the built-in timer to help keep me on track. If your looking for one that has it all this is the one you should have.
