I use this product on both my MacBook Pro with OS X and an HP laptop and it works well for transporting files between operating systems or simply housing files that only reside on the flash drive but are used from both computers - home and office. At under fifty bucks this is a very worthwhile investment. 2 Gigs is sufficient for most folks. | 5 | Today | Good buy and great software
This drive performs well and looks great. The casing gives it a sense of durability. The encryption and shredding software work well. Plenty of room on the drive and easy to set up. Sometimes the software can be quirky, but they were minor performance gltches when learning to use the vaults etc... | 4 | Today | So far... so good!
I was kinda surprised to see very bad rating about the external housing! I have been using this for over a month, and didn't see any problem. I have this attached to my car keys too. My only complaint would be the size (and hence the 4 stars)... it is big compared to my mighty sandisk micro (which i lost.. unfortunately), and this may be 'coz of the two layered case.
Bottom line ... if you can get this for around 40 bucks... it's definitely worth buying.

It looks slick but is not made to last. After a week, the little LED in the center detached and would float around inside the housing. After a month or so, the cap became loose and eventually fell off. If you find it, please let me know. A few months after that while trying to remove it from my computer, the housing came off, but the chipset and board stayed attached in my computer. I figured it really wanted to be there.
Avoid it.

Very good product. It's very serious and just what i want in prescence. The memory comes with a software or something like that that use about 80Mb so you don't have de 2 Gb completly but almost. Anyway I'm pleased with this memory for the appearencce, look and the price. | 5 | Today | speedy flash drive
Okay the stainless steel housing may be gimmicky, but in terms of speed, it's the fastest flash drive I've used. I have a Lexar FireFly as well, and the Lightning seems at least 3-5X as fast. | 5 | Today | Best JumpDrive on the market
As the specs for the JumpDrive indicate, it is indeed the best Drive on the market. Very fast and reliable and my goodness secure! There is a "vault" on the drive which allows you to password protect your documents and there is a meter of sorts that tells you how secure the password you have selected is - your files are secure! I do like this unit. My plastic ones get beat-up and look terrible from the change and keys in my pocket. This drive is very fast and resiliant. It also has a rubber gasket at the cap so if it accidentally takes a trip through the washing-machine it has a much better chance of survival!

I got this model because of it's size and speed. In fact, I got it after returning a cheaper 2GB CruzerMini which was just too slow for my liking (severals times slower than my older 256MB JumpDrive). This drive, despite the complaints others have had about it, has worked just find for me for nearly a year. It probably helps that I don't fling it around on a string, but instead carry it in a pocket or in my laptop bag. | 5 | Today |
