| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Re-inventing While I would certainly encourage an individual who is looking to obtain a "great" video signal to consider something other than composite (RCA) cabling (such as component, optical, or at least S-Video), there are obviously just some times when you can't get around using it. In these cases I would highly recommend Sonicwave RCA Composite Cable. I purchased a $[...] Numark Dual-Tray Karaoke player as part of a much greater $[...] sound system that I have recently assembled. Being the sort who wants the best of the best for all my cabling, I was finally down to my Numark and in search of cables. Unfortunately, the only option for "Video Out" on this device is RCA (which makes sense, I suppose, since all it is sending is karaoke lyrics and there is no real need for video perfection). With that, I began an intense search online to see what was available in RCA video cabling options. It was then that I came across Sonicwave. Sonicwave is actually the best-rated cable within a series of three cable ratings for a specific manufacturer (Value Series, Velocity, and finally--Sonicwave). Let me just say, "WOW!". If, like me, you are used to the paper-thin and ever-so-flemsy 3-wire bundles of RCA cables in the usual red, white, and yellow configuration(yellow representing the video signal and red/white being left/right stereo cables), then this will be a pleasant surprise to you as it was for me. I purchased a sole RCA composite video cable (75 feet long, nonetheless) and the cable alone was stronger, thicker, and better packaged than the $[...] (a piece) Monster brand speaker cables, Mogami Gold Mic cables, and LiveWire Elite interconnect cables. Considering the fact that I was/am ignorant to the specifics of cable degredation over long lengths and in different types of cables, I was concerned that with such a primitive style of cable such as RCA I might experience both a delay in the video-to-audio timing and a signal loss over long lengths. This, however, couldn't be further from the truth in this case. My 75' cable showed absolutely no video delay in correlation to the music and the picture was crystal clear to boot. FYI--this cable is offered in up to (if I remember correctly) 150-foot lengths. In closing, I give this cable/brand two thumbs up and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for the "best" when limited to RCA/composite for their Audio/Video needs. | 5 | Today |
