Purchased these ear buds for iPod. Regular buds never fit right and I hoped these "gumy" headphones would be soft enough to hold their shape and stay in place. No such luck! Gummy seems NOT to refer to the part where the bud connects with the ear. Sound quality very good, buds just not comfortable enough for me. If you are looking for a good pair of earphones and don't want to pay alot of money, I highly recommend these. I bought these for an MP3 player, mostly to listen to audio books, but some music as well. They perform quite well (better than iPod earphones I think) with good sound quality. Power is more than sufficient (I have to turn the volume almost all the way down so that its not too loud). My only complaint is the comfort. They are reasonably good for about 30min then start to hurt my ears. They fit relatively snugly, but do not block the ear canal, so they do not block out outside noise.
I havent tried the more expensive buds, but when I bought these I didn't want to pay a ton of money for what I was using them for. If you want an inexpensive set that works well, these are great. | 4 | Today | Nice Sound for price

These buds are definitely a step up from the standard iPod buds. They stay in your ears much more easily (without the foam black covers, which are easily lost), the sound is at least marginally better, and the overall construction seems to be better. You can't do much better for the money.
However, if you're willing to spend a little more, the JLab JBuds are the way to go. I own both the Gumys and the JBuds, and the Gumys are my workout pair, and I use the JBuds for everything else.
But if you're looking to spend as little as possible yet still upgrade from the iPod buds, the Gumys are the way to go. | 4 | Today | Excellent...........Gumy Headphones

The reviews I read on these headphones seemed to be half for and half against. I figured the users who didn't like them probably had issues with fit. Fortunately, they fit me fine and the sound is better than the headphones that came with my MP3 player. I've had them for a couple of months and they have held up fine with my rigorous workout schedule. For the price they are definitely worth a shot. | 5 | Today | good sound, terrible feel
It's true what has already been said: the sounds in these headphones is better than expected, but I thought the above reviews under-emphasized the other important feature of earbugs. These are, without a doubt, the most uncomfortable headphones I've ever used. They're cheap, but any price is too much. The sound quality surprised me.. its really really good for a set this cheap...
but it gets uncomfortable to wear after an hour or so...
buy it if u use it for just a couple of hours a day..
but if ur the type who listens to music the whole day... i recommend u get something more comfortable...

I have small ears and tried many different kinds of earbuds with similar results. I must admit that these have the best sound quality for the price range. I listen to mostly classical and jazz music which has a wide acoustic instrument range. They sound very clear on my Sandisk mp3 player--especially during soft passages. Bass is adequate for something so light and small as these. Though the sound quality is good for the price I still gave them three stars because they always fall out of my ears--whether I'm laying in bed or walking down the street. It's annoying! I thought the material would be softer, stickier, and more flexible than it actually was. They do appear more durable than other buds I've tried. If they were designed to be just a bit smaller they might be the perfect buds for me. I also like the idea of the colors. I bought the blue pair which matches my Sandisk player. Overall I was very happy with this purchase. Although the heads are black, the wire is white. There is a little noise when listening, but again for this price, that was ok with me. With the sponge-protectors, the headphones sometimes pop out of my ear when walking, but again I accepted that as the best as can be expected for this price. Overall I'm very satisfied. | 4 | Today |
