As close to realtime as we could hope for. Easy to install. Just add Skype and you're good to go. 4 Today NIce and clear Great video and sound. Not easy to setup to the computer but my computer is old. 4 Today gift was bought as gift to my son. we have had several online talks and it appears to work great. would reccomend it . 5 Today QuickCam is great for Video phone calls! So far, I have only used this camera once but it worked very well and lived up to all of its advertised capabilities. I used it on Skype. The only con I found was that it made my audio on my computer start to crackle even when I am not using the camera. If I disable the camera completely, the crackling goes away. This may also be just my computer and other computers may not have this little problem. 4 Today Great product - great price - Just Plug & Play! I bought three of these webcams as Christmas gifts and one for myself. Everyone, including me loves them. We all get online and have video chat sessions and the quality and ease of use is fantastic. 5 Today Great Value This was a great value for a webcam. The image is crisp and clear and the automatic brightness control works fairly well, though sometimes doesn't work quite the way you want to. I found myself tinkering with the manual settings quite a bit. Bundled software works great and can even allow you to pick an animated avatar that follows your facial movements. Unfortunately, for any streaming Skype or Video IM programs, these little cameras sure do take up a lot of memory on your computer. Microphone works very well, and I really haven't had any problems with it. The mount is designed for a laptop, but it works very well with my LCD monitor. Over all, it is something that I think will work well for the average user. If you have a CRT monitor (ie: bit and fat without a lip to set the camera on), you may want to find a different product that either sticks to the top of your screen or sits on a tripod. 4 Today Skype on!! Have one on each of two computers, works great. Wide view, good mic, and easy software. 5 Today Great quality Excellent quality for a webcam with very good built in microphone. Easily fits on any type of monitor or on a desk. Pivots up and down, butI wish it would also pan left and right. You will need a fairly modern computer to use this camera. It doesn't need to be the latest and greatest, but if you're still running Windows 98, you might not want to consider this. The camera produces great picture quality and has some nice features. Face tracking really isn't one of those features. It just doesn't work well enough to be useful, especially in low light situations or if you're pretty far from the camera. The software is a little obtrusive. I feel like it's constantly presenting me with buttons that don't interest me while making it difficult to get to the settings that I do change often (such as zoom and pan). 3 Today Great image, no support for Winxx I get an absolutely gorgeous image on Win2000. It bugs me that their are no drivers for WinMe, which I prefer since it takes a quarter of the time to boot. Haven't tried XP yet since it's just a remake of 2000 with a bunch of extra features I don't need. 4 Today I don't like this cam I don't know much about webcams, but the picture quality on this one seems awful. It makes my face as red as a tomato and my eyes into darkish blobs and my mouth and teeth into a blurry maw. The software with the cam allows very limited adjustments and offers no solutions to these problems.
