| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Warning: Do not buy this phone! I did not heed earlier reviews regarding the battery power problem with this phone. I should have. In 2 months I have replaced the batteries 3 times; this last time they only lasted a few days! Panasonic customer service actually had the nerve to suggest I replace them again with Panasonic brand batteries (instead of the new Duracell Alkaline AAs I used). Now I have to package it up with the incvoice, the reason for return on a separate page, go and post it at my expense and wait for them to send me a refurbished replacement. Is it so difficult to simply make a telephone that does what it's supposed to do? Another inexcusable annoyance is that, as a wall phone, it attaches only in 1 place, which causes it to swing if you move/walk while using the handset. Don't buy it! | 1 | Today | Rave Review This is a great product it serves the purpose that I bought it for and I would buy the same item again. | 5 | Today | POOR MOUTHPIECE PICKUP Need to hold my mouth VERY CLOSE to the headset when speaking. If not, the other party often has difficulty hearing me. This also becomes unsanitary. DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT. | 1 | Today | good for the basics but some drawbacks good volume, speakerphone, headset jack which seems hard to find in a corded phone, and it has caller id. The negatives are it requires batteries. This is not for backup only...it is soley powered by batteries. There is no power source to plug in. Also, there is no message waiting indicator when you have a voicemail (voicemail through phone system not answering machine). If you just need the basics, it's fine. | 3 | Today | Panasonic Corded Telephone. Great wall phone. Really like the caller ID & large phone book to store numbers in. Fast delivery! | 5 | Today | EXACT same phone as the 600B - 50 # directory Actually, I haven't bought one yet; I just wanted Amazon shoppers to know that this one has a 50-number directory, just like the KX-TS600B... the ONLY difference between the two are the colors - black or white. Makes one wonder why one got 3.5 stars and the other 4?! | 4 | Today | Nice Basic Phone at a Good Price I bought six of these to be compatible with my Panasonic cordless system. They are, and all worked perfectly out of the boxes. Batteries have lasted fine. I have three improvement suggestions, but they are small items: (1) When wall mounted, the handset can be knocked off the base if one brushes by the phone -- it should be a little more secure. (2) A phone directory installed on one phone should be able to be copied to the other phones rather than having to re-enter everything on each phone. (3) The display should include a push-button backlight so as to be readable in the dark, and the red LED should blink on "message waiting" rather than only a LCD envelope indicator. (This would probably shorten battery life too much and is why Panasonic didn't include these items.) I am very happy with my purchase and with Panasonic and Amazon. | 4 | Today | dial tone after hangup hurts The one serious issue I have with this phone is that when using the headset jack, a few seconds after you hang up, it emits a dial tone burst through the headset. This may actually be loud enough to be painful, depending on your ears, your headset, and the volume settings of the phone and the headset (if it has a volume setting). But regardless of whether it hurts, it is annoying. I am going to try to replace this phone with a Plantronics T10 due to this problem. Obviously I don't know whether this problem is just with my unit or is present in some or all other units. One other reviewer (under a different listing of the same product but in back) has reported a problem that sounds the same. | 2 | Today | PanasonicKX-TS600W Corded Phone The phone has many nice optoins, but the caller I.D. window could have some kind of light to help see the number of the caller. The speaker phone from the other end also sounds a little like a tin can. The pick up Mic could be better. Over all I like the phone. | 3 | Today | Great Phone This phone would have gotten a 5 star except for the fact that it needs batteries. Lots of good features. Panasonic makes great phones corded or wireless. | 4 | Today |
