Awesome air rifle
Awesome air rifle, very accruate.

Mine came with a very stiff trigger--however the trigger is adjustable via a screw in the trigger. Mine is down to 4.3 pounds and 1.4" pull.

Sold by Daisy they are made by HATSAN ARMS COMPANY of Turkey, see: http://www.hatsan.com.tr/index.html

Quite possibly the greatest value in airguns
This Break-Barrel action rifle is a very inexpensive yet very high-quality product. The 1000fps speed allows you to hit something the size of a crow up to 250ft away (I know this for a fact,), yet the scope makes the crow appear to be less than 30ft off(true, calculated fact, 27.78ft away to be exact,). The energy at the muzzle is exactly 17.55 ft-lbs (a .22LR rifle has 100ft-lbs of energy,), and it recoils much less than a .22LR. The trigger is just as easy to handle as any other airgun in general; it doesn't affect accuracy. But when it comes to accuracy, you feel guilty for paying such a low price($130.00 when I bought it,). I was able to hit a .50 cent piece 100ft away 11 out of 15 shots, and when perfectly stabilized 13 out of 15, but keep in mind that you have to sight it in well, and expirement with different pellets to find which ones work best (I used crosman premier 7.9grn pellets), but I figured out a perfect method to get the rifle stabilized to sight it in.You have to be really stupid, or just plain retarded to want to shoot someone with this thing, it will pierce skin. A test I do with every pellet gun, airsoft, or bb gun, is see how many layers of aluminum foil it will penetrate. I got this to go through 120 layers of foil(with crosman super point pellets), and it could very well go beyound that(an airsoft pistol usually can't go beyound three layers,).I do these tests with the muzzle 3ft from the foil while it's nailed with very thin nails to a sheet of ply wood that has a square opening at the center. I did the test, but didn't have any more foil, so I don't know how much more it would go through. I hammered the foil into a flat sheet.
If you can afford it, buy it, and head out into some secluded area and enjoy!
Bad airgun! No bullseye for you!
This gun literally drove me insane attempting to site it in. I tried two different scopes before giving up. Finally, I realized that the gun, with its [non adjustable] over 30 pound trigger pull (measured) and 7/16 of an inch of actual trigger movement (measured) before it fires was not really the problem. After 50 shots, I was able adapt to it, although I found it maddening. I suspect the fact that the bore was slightly too small for the 3 types of daisy and 1 type of Copperhead pellets was the real problem. I realize it has to fit tight for the riffling to work, but there shouldn't be lead flakes left pinched in the gun after firing. Either way, the combination of poor trigger, and chamber design caused an average 3 inch group at 10 yards. It's accuracy was just incredibly bad. (20 shots)

I would say that the recoil of this gun is similar to that of a 4-10 shotgun. Seriously, I'm not exaggerating. After nearly 200 shots fired, I had a nice visible bruise on my shoulder the next day. It felt like I had been competing in a trap shoot with my 12 gauge. The penetration is about 1 inch in to a pine 2X4, after going through all the pages of a Wall Street Journal and cardboard box backing of my makeshift pellet trap. It's the most powerful air riffle I've ever fired. It does work well for hunting small critters, if it could just reliably hit them.

The force required to break open the barrel (Daisy says 46 pounds) did not bother me, but my wife was not able to comfortably operate it. Anyone unable to lift 75 pounds would not able able to operate this gun. I saw this as a great safety feature to keep kids from operating the gun.

Using a Marksman riffle -I had to keep trying the Marksman, as a sanity check- I was able to fire less than a 1/2 inch group at the same distance, with both scopes that I tried on the Winchester (Daisy). (with 20 shots, the hole doesn't change after the first 7-10) That's how air riffles are *SU

Squirrels Beware!!!
I have owned this air rifle for approximately 2 weeks and so far I have managed to eliminate four of those nasty little bushy tailed critters...

I am by no means a master marksman, and I was able to sight in this rifle and hit a quarter sized target from about fifty feet in less than half an hour. I originally bought it because the squirrels were taking over my attic.

Since the first cull I havn't heard any movement in the attic; however, the excitement of the shoot is too much fun to stop the hunting..........
