Can't speak much about actually using this product. When I received it and unboxed it, it was destroyed. Straight from the factory. No damage to the box or during shipment. Pieces were actually broken off the fact and the metal encasement was bent, but no plastic was inside the box. So, it was dropped before it was packaged at the factory, packaged anyway and then subsequently returned to Amazon. Buy from Amazon, just not this company. 1 816 days ago The worst thing I ever bought The product didnt deliver at all any kind of results. It actually was wrost than before. I turned it on for a day and I had water running on my wall. Dont buy this product ever. <br />Frank 1 816 days ago Bought 2 from Amazon - Very disappointed! First unit arrived with bottom shipping foam block "melted" around the power cord. There was also a small hole in the side of the box. This unit would not operate at all. Second unit arrived 3 days later. No apparent shipping damage outside, but the top was dented pretty severely. It "worked", but the display shows a 51% humidit reading in a bathroom where 2 other humidistats measure 65% . . . This is not there best work. Hopefully Amazon will send call tags, and I'll start shopping again. (I say "hopefully". Contacting Amazon is almost impossible!!!!) 1 816 days ago dehumidifier It did not work.I had to return the product.I will say to return it was really reallly easy at amazon. 1 816 days ago Not a good choice The first unit I received, had obvious outward dents in a side panel, as if it had been dropped on it's side, and the internals of the unit pushed out from the inside. The unit was also very noisy. I could watch the humidity gauge drop very quickly, then the unit would shut down (after 2 minutes), and then start back up in 2-3 minutes as the guage went back up. I reported my problems to Amazon, and they overnighted a new unit to me. The second unit arrived, in a better, stronger box, (but still with no handle cutouts which would make carrying so much easier). This unit also had outward dents (in both side panels). I plugged it in, and could hear the compressor start up, but the fan would not start, in either of the 2 speeds. It also was noisy, but not as bad as the first one I received. I commend Amazon, for handling my returns expeditiously, but this dehimidifier gets less than 1 star from me. Perhaps if the box design had handle cutouts, it would prevent the box from being dropped, and help stop the internal damage.
