| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Great Product This is the absolute best waffle maker that I have ever used. You can not mess up a waffle on this thing...it isn't possible. The measuring cup that it comes with is very helpful. If you use a waffle mix that has malt powder in it (like Gold Medal which you can get at Williams Sonoma) the waffles taste just as good as any you get at a restaurant. | 5 | 796 days ago | Waring Belgian Waffles I finally got the quality waffles that I have been seeking. Fantastic and makes waffles very fast. YEAH | 5 | 796 days ago | Waffle Lovers Must Have!!! This is the best waffle maker I have purchased. My family eats waffles for breakfast every weekend for the last few months since I bought the waffle maker. It heats up in about 5 minutes. Waffles cook in about 5 minutes depending on the setting, I personally use a setting between 3 and 4. The waffles come out crispy, but are not over done.
Works great with homemade and store bought waffle mix. I have tried the homemade waffle mix and it is very good it just takes to long to prepare. I do not care to wait a 1 1/2 hr before I can make waffles. Extrememly easy to clean up, especially if batter leeks. The drip pan is dishwasher safe.
| 5 | 796 days ago | Professional results at home We've tried a number of wafflers and most are not suitable for our tastes. We like thick waffles that are crisp and have deep holes.

The Waring Pro takes up a bit of space on the counter (something to consider) but it does the job admirably. The only other waffler that lets you flip the waffles to let the batter sink thoroughly into the waffle plate is a model that you simply turn over by hand. This is the professional kind that you rotate on a spindle to invert the plates and get complete cooking.

Does it make a difference? Yes, it does. The waffles come out light and crisp, cooked through but not heavy. We use a batter with gluten-free flour and they still come out nicely.

Many waffle recipes demand yeast, but this is really not necessary. You can use buttermilk batters, milk batters or even soymilk batters (which are a bit heavier, in my experience.) One trick to avoid dense waffles is to separate the eggs in the batter and beat the whites until they form soft peaks. Stir in the yolks as you would the whole egg, but at the end, fold in the beaten whites. The air afforded by the whipped egg white makes the batter crisp nicely in the waffler.

One more tip; many waffle batters seem to have a lot of fat. (One recipe I learned in Germany, where they make flat waffles rather than the Belgian style, has about 50 percent of the batter by weight as BUTTER. So much so, it is almost impossible to beat it into the water-based flour and milk. Unbelievable.) But the fat is a necessary evil; if you eliminate the butter or oil, the waffle will not crisp up and it might stick. We serve waffles for special desserts or Sunday breakfast and they are thus not an everyday indulgence. Belgians gild the lily by topping the waffles with whipped cream and adding fruit. You can simply put powdered sugar. Or try cream cheese and apple butter, something from Coney Island many many years ago. | 5 | 796 days ago | Waring Pro Costs a Little More, but Its Worth Every Penny My culinary skills are quite limited so I am always happy when I find a new appliance that makes cooking easy. Waffles, pancakes, eggs, and other foods are not necessarily difficult to make but they take more time than I am willing to give up as I begin my day. With the Waring Professional Belgian Style Waffle Maker, I can make waffles with little or no effort. This has greatly increased my number of hot breakfasts since this device is so easy to use and so easy to clean.

The most desirable quality of this device is the ease of use and this factor alone makes it worth the purchase. When I first opened the box and looked at this waffle maker, I still had my doubts about its simplicity. But a few uses showed just how simple it was. Everything is automated for the consumer, removing all of the guesswork from the process of waffle making. First, you flick the switch. Then, you wait for the green light to tell you that the waffle iron is preheated. Then, you pour the batter, close the lid, and turn the handle. When the waffle is ready, the device beeps. That's all there is to it. Even the measuring cup that Waring includes is already pre- marked with a "fill line". There are no ounce markings. No, that would require too much thinking. Instead, Waring marks a line on the cup that says "fill line". By pouring the batter into this cup and reaching this line, you can be assured that the batter will be just the right amount to make one waffle.

With the heat settings, there are six different knob positions and they control how quickly the beeper sounds off and how soft or crisp your waffle will be. Waring recommends using the "4" setting. This is usually the one I use but I have been known to lower this setting to "3" for a softer waffle. Again, by following the manufacturer's recommendation, one can get a very good waffle without any cognitive input. Waring takes care of all this for you, helping to create a tasty waffle with minimal effort.
<br / | 5 | 783 days ago | Waffle maker Product is excellent, easy to operate, very easy to clean up, the recipes included with the product are excellent. I would highly recommend this product. The price was appropriate for this item also. | 5 | 783 days ago | Simply Amazing! This is more than you could ask for for $80. My father-in-law owns a top-grade, commercial belgian waffle maker that has the same rotation idea; this makes belgian waffles as good as that! We tried some add water, egg, and oil mix from Wal-Mart and it was okay at best. Then we tried the classic recipie that it comes with in the instruction book. WOW! This is easy to use and makes quick delicious waffles in about 90 seconds.
We bought ours from Bed Bath and Beyond for $79.99. The timer stopped working after about 10 waffles so we exchanged it for a new one and it is perfect. highly recommended! | 5 | 783 days ago | Excellent product, and I received it free! I've tried several recipes for Belgian Waffles, but the one in the book that came with my Waring is the best by far. It is well worth the extra time and effort needed to make the waffles. Would recommend this product above all others. | 5 | 783 days ago |
