| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Great fan! What's not to like? I own a couple Vornados and am definitely addicted. So when I saw color from the ususaly B&W folks at Vornado I had to buy. This thing looks neat and it arrived in fine condition. The padded handle, the fat pipe base, the long grounded cord and a place to store the extra. I like it and I like that it's made in the US and has a lifetime warranty. Way to go Vornado! | 5 | 767 days ago | Not Very Heavy Duty SHOP Fan This was the easiest fan yet to put together. The fan's assembly instructions were straight forward and does not allow one much of a chance to lose anything or mess anything up while you are putting the Vornado 3HD Heavy Duty Shop Fan together. It is colorful, sleek and has a long cord to provide easy access to locations where other fans may not be located because of cord length. I had it ready to go and thought more air volume then my other fans and will be able to do without the older ones. Well, my excitement was at its height as I reached down to turn it on, then a true and total rush of DISAPPOINTMENT settled in. This fan might be heavy duty to a puppy, but it provides less air than a cheap box fan. Their write up says it provides a Seventy-five foot beam of air, I would say it is more like a frilly breeze of eighteen to twenty-five, at BEST! I read only one review that stated the air volume was unsatisfactory. For ninety eight dollars (including shipping and taxes) it is truly a waste of about sixty-nine dollars and totally a bathroom or small room blower. It is however, very quite, but that is because of its soft and petite air flow. A revolution in a portable fan air flow in? Perhaps if you had 10 or 12 of them in your house, but then that would be around a thousand dollars and you can get a portable air-conditioner for only about seven hundred dollars, you can move it from room to room and use the three hundred for the electricity bills for three years while you stay cool calm and collected! If you have money to burn, love the quite and only want it as a personal fan, then get it, if you don't, I have an old Honeywell and an old Patton fan that move the air and in a cooler fashion and they were less the fifty dollars! I have to suffer this summer because I believed in over inflated advertisements, but next summer I will now be very leery of all hype infested advertisements! Recommendation: Make sure you explore and examine investments over fifty dollars, | 2 | 754 days ago | Good-looking Fan The reason I gave this a 4 stars was just because this fan's power was not as strong as i expected from it's series. However, we loved the padded handle on top for ease of moving the fan around. It's sturdy and very quiet. | 4 | 754 days ago | Pricey, but useful for several reasons: PROS: Definitely a must-have for machine and woodworking shops. Surfaces are made so you can easily wipe off saw dust. You can take it apart and snap the pieces back together after cleaning. Small footprint makes it ideal for moving a lot of air but with little space. Nice heavy insulated power cord with ground pin, making it good for dirty environments.
CONS: Relatively expensive. If you have enough space, a $10 box fan will do the same thing. Some of the plastic pieces that snap on/off for cleaning seem flimsy and easily breakable. | 4 | 754 days ago | Vornado quality. I purchased a Vornado model 610 fan 3 years ago and it is performing very well. Therefore, when I needed another fan I purchased this fan thinking it would be more powerful than the 610 model. This fan has 1550RPM air control, but seems to be about the same as my lower priced fan. I am very pleased with this fan, but expected more power for the price compared to the 610 model. Nevertheless, it is well built, has a very good comfort grip handle, a 10 foot cord and the ball-bearing motor is very quiet for the air flow produced. Vornado quality is impressive. | 4 | 754 days ago | good fan.. I bought this for my garage shop and it works well. Solid construction, stable platform, good circulation, easy cord storage.
No, this is not huge contractor fan, but it has enough power to circulate fresh air throughout my two car detached garage/shop.
