this is a very good monitor (my second one in the last two months). It has very crisp picture and very nice colors. My only complaint is its just too darn bright. I mean i have the brightness contrast set to 10 & 2 respectively on both of them and still its bright enough to hurt my eyes sometimes. I mean it can literally burn a hole in your retina bigger than watching a solar eclipse, if you decide to operate it on full brightness/contrast anytime. <br />Nice video quality; no dead pixels; thinner bezel and equal PQ to my NEC Mutlisync LCD of the same size. Met or exceeded my expectations for a 17" LCD.

<br />As far as very few reviews on the web of this model, you just have to know where to look. Another reputable etailer of primarily computer related items had 65 (favorable) reviews AND a lower price - received it quickly (two days). Look in your Easter basket for a "new" clue.

To tell the truth, I don't know what to expect from a monitor except a clear picture. I'm happy with the size and the resolution. It's got a nice, clean look about it. Over the years I've been building my trust in Samsung products. I had such good experiences with their products so when I needed a monitor, I straight went to see Samsung products. The price was very reasonable, and the quality was excellent. I love it and I'm pretty confident this product will last me forever just like my dvd and tv set from Samsung.

This is one of the best LCD monitor out there. I had been looking for a good LCD monitor for last 3 months and finally settled down with Samsung. Only issue was with the MagicTune s/w which kept crashing my PC and had to uninstall it. Apart from that everything else is great about this monitor.
