Ordered this through Amazon and was happy with response time and shipping. This fax machine is ideal for a small office/home office with a dedicated fax line. Believe it or not, I just replaced my old Sharp fax that used the thermal rolls which I prefer since no ink supplies were necessary. But so far this works great. It has way more features and funtionality than I will ever need since I just send and receive occassional faxes. Quality is excellent and set up was quick and easy. Footprint is small too so it doesn't take much desk space. I only have one small complaint. The lowest number of rings you can set it to when receiving a fax is 2 rings. I would prefer a Zero setting, so I don't have to hear it ring at all. But at this price, how can you complain? It's worth the $90 (including shipping.) 5 754 days ago Good Machine! Very easy to operate, good fax and print quality, and looks great. 5 754 days ago Passable for the price, I suppose I confess I don't think much of fax machines in general; they're painfully antiquated and I don't have much confidence in my transmissions -- but I'll try to separate that out from my review. <br /> <br />My wife needed a fax for her online retail business -- they're still a simple fact of life. This was the cheapest I could find given the rebate. <br />I ran out of ink quicker than I expected. There is no power switch and there doesn't seem to be a pass-through for the regular phone; I guess it's meant for a dedicated line. This necessitates a lot of cable-plugging when it's time to use it. <br /> <br />At one point, after about 5 months, it begun spinning its rollers and complaining of a nonexistent paper jam. After finding that there were no nearby service centers I was going to give up and find a new machine, but I found a FAQ on the Sharp site advising that I turn it on while holding down the Stop and Go keys, which worked. 2 754 days ago Not for the fax at heart Good fax machine/copier. Ideal for the home environment of the occassional faxing in and out. The ink cartridge supplied is not a full size cartridge. For the price, they really should include a full size container. Or at least a coupon for your next purchase which could be soon if you receive alot of faxes. Encountered problem receiving a few faxes requiring multiple sendings from the other person. But overall, worth the price for the occassional faxer. <br /> <br />UPDATE: Ink doesn't last as long as stated in documentation. Wouldn't suggest using for making alot of copies since ink can run out quicker than expected. When you do buy ink buy twin packs to save money. 4 754 days ago Nifty fax machine The Sharp UX-B20 fax machine is easy to set up, does all that I want in a fax machine, prints on plain paper, and uses an ink jet cartridge rather than the hard-to-install roll of ink film. Also, the design of the machine is the "cleanest" and most compact I've seen. The ink cartridge is expensive, about twice as expensive as a roll of ink film. However, it will last about 500 sheets whereas a roll of ink film will only last about 250 sheets. So, the cost of the cartridge is very comparable. Rolls of film are usually about half the cost of the cartridge. Half the cost, but only half the number of sheets!!
