I bought this a few weeks ago, works just like it says and I could not be happier. I have two girls in the house 11 and 12 yrs old. I showed them how to use it and they love it. Great for quick breakfast if your running late. I would recommend this to anyone. | 5 | 801 days ago | Super Toaster!
I gave this to my Dad for Christmas, and it was so great I bought one for myself! We tried soft-boiled eggs and a "poached" egg, and both cooked perfectly. The toaster toasts very evenly. Two comments I'd like to add are:
<br />1. The "poached" egg is not actually sitting in water like a real poached egg, so it's actually better.
<br />2. If you cook your egg in the shell, you cannot use the meat tray at the same time. That was a disappointment.
<br />And a small piece of advice: run the toaster without bread a couple of times when you first get it, or your first toast will taste like new appliance.

My brother had this at his house on my last visit and it is slick! It works great and the finshied meal tastes just as good as Mickey - D's Egg McMuffin, actually better if topped with a slice of cheese! I read the reviews and bought this as a mother's day gift to myself. I made breakfast for the whole family, and hard boiled eggs for a salad later. It's easier to use than I imagined, and the results are great! Try some smoked turkey in the meat tray-- it's great on eggs! I did get some meat residue cooked onto the water tray (one of my kids won't eat eggs, so the egg wasn't there to catch the juice,) but it came off easily with a damp nylon scrubber. I've tossed the old toaster in favor of this flashy-techie replacement because YES, it can just do toast if you want! Highly recommended! | 5 | 800 days ago | great idea - questionable construction
We've had this since Christmas. My husband uses it every day and loves it. We use egg beaters and it works great. Unfortunately, we've had to replace the egg tray twice - once because the paint all chipped off and the other time because the little handle broke off. To it's credit, Back to Basics asked no questions other than the date code and promptly sent the replacement both times (service@btbproducts.com).

<br />The design is a little troublesome in that the heating tray (where you put the water) is not removable, making it difficult to clean. it does get dirty because of drippings from the meat and steam generated by cooking the eggs does contain egg gunk. You can't just wipe it out with a paper towel when you're finished because it's too hot, and by the time you get back to it, it's cooked on. | 3 | 800 days ago | I'm with the majority here
Started out skeptical, but bought it based on the reviews. It's great, and the eggs come out wonderful! I actually don't like eggs very much, but I like them this way quite a bit.

<br />The egg pan sticks more than I thought it would, I will try a tiny bit of butter next time, since someone said it worked for them.

Have this machine for 1 month.
<br />First, the non-stick coating on the poaching tray start to come off. I use it every morning and rinse it off under the hot water and wipe it off with damp papertowel. They shouldn't be that easy to come off. Second, the non-stick cooking oil spray are required to use the poach tray. They all contain propellant.
<br />Finally, the plastic handle on the poaching tray broke off. (my wife might dropped it, but it should be build with metal) | 2 | 800 days ago |
