I received these speakers for Christmas and used them in the kitchen when I cooked. I would say that at most they got 40-60 hours of use over the past six months. Today I turned them off to answer the phone, and when I turned them on the volume would no longer go up and the sound is horribly distorted. Pressing the volume buttons only produces more distortion. They are, in effect, dead.

<br />Warranty? None that I can find in my manual. Tech support? Well, I guess I could call Middlesex, England but what, exactly, are they going to do to fix my speakers over the phone? The call and the shipping would probably cost me more than I would spend to get a replacement set of the same quality.

I got this for my granddaughter who has an iPOD Nano. When we received the unit it had a sticker AFFIXED to the box claiming compatibility with the iPOD Nano. Since it was a "sticker" I was apprehensive. Nowhere, when she opened the box, did the documentation/owners manual make a reference, at all, to compatibility with the iPOD Nano. In fact, the iPOD Nano was not mentioned anywhere. There were about 6 different plastic adapter tabs which were referenced in the owners manual for the matching iPODs. We used the Universal adapter since we did not have a clue as to which one to use.
<br />We could hear the unit was on because the speakers (when turned up full) were making a slight hiss but when we first docked the Nano and tried to play a song absolutely nothing happened. We kept re-inserting it in subtly different ways and finally the connection was made and it played. However, it would not charge the Nano while it was in dock, whether playing or not.

<br />My granddaughter took it home and called the next day to tell me the Nano would not charge or play and that, just before it stopped playing completely, it was digitally skipping over parts of songs.

<br />I sent an email to Amazon.com explaining the problem and Amazon.com shipped another brand new unit within 2 days!!

<br />When my granddaughter used this unit it worked for one day, charging and playing songs properly, until the unit completely died again.
<br />This is NOT Amazon.com's fault - I believe that the Logic3 was minimally tested (at most) with the iPOD Nano so that the manufacturer could then claim compatibility thus, the "affixed" sticker on the box which was added AFTER the printing process of the initial box design.
<br />We returned both units and got a refund and, sadly, I ended up giving my granddaughter an Amazon.com Gift Certificate instead.

Bought the 60gb ipod and love that. This item not fantastic, but worth the money if you are moving around. Sound quality is really fairly good. Can't expect much more for speakers this small. Pretty good overall. | 4 | 754 days ago | Okay sound
For the price, the station does exactly what it needs to do. I plays with a relatively strong sound and it charges the I-pod when on the dock. Compared to all the other pricey stations, this one did the trick unless you are really picky about sound and use it in home, office or parties all the time. | 4 | 754 days ago |
