When you are buying a new camera, don't forget to get more memory. After taking approx. ten pictures, we were out of basic memory in our new camera. Thank goodness we had remembered to bite-the-bullet up front and include the purchase of the 1GB digital card, with the camera package. Don't settle for the cheaper and smaller card, you'll soon realize that the gig is the way to go!! Especially when you are on vacation and away from your computer or printer and you always want to have memory room for that last important picture, however many "last" pictures become before you get home. | 5 | 754 days ago | good deal from amazon.
i just bought the 1GB memory card off of ebay for $10 + $18 s&h. When I received it, the memory card was obviously counterfeit. (there was no serial number anywhere) I wanted to use it with my new canon 550, but it couldn't be read by my computer. I emailed the seller and he said I could return it, and get a refund only for my $10! Forget it! The shipping costs alone to hong kong would be more than what I'd get refunded...and not so he can sell it to another unknowing buyer.

The SanDisk 1 GB SD card worked perfectly and is fast enough that I did not have any problems with using it for my Casio camera. I read one review on this card when the reviewer was unhappy because his card would only hold a small number of files which was not nearly the capacity of the card. The SD card functions like a removeable hard drive. The root directory of a hard drive will only allow a limited number of files. You have to create at least one folder on the SD card and that folder will allow the entire capacity of the card to be stored in it. | 5 | 741 days ago | Great but go for the 2 GB!

I use this SanDisk SDSDB-1024-A10 1 GB Secure Digital Card for my digital camera; I have a Canon A 620 Power Shot; which is 7.1 Mega pixels. I can store (shoot) 515 pictures of the highest quality, on the card. So far its excellent, no problems at all; speed seems good, Picture quality and reliability excellent. I have Video capability on the camera ,but I don't use it, I have a Mini DV camcorder I use for shooting Video. So I can't commit on video storage on the card. I have one other 1 Gig Card, from SanDisk-slighty higer quality, and with these two cards, its all I need for vacations, family pics etc., | 5 | 741 days ago |
