I bought this product because it was durable (My cat knocked my last portable CD player off the table, to it's doom). Do not buy this, if like me, your main form of CD's are CD-R's. This player does NOT play CD-R's. My player was bought used, so it didnt come with headphones, but the sound is great in the player. A good tip is not to bring this to the beach or any place with sand. The sand did not completely break the cd player, but makes a static sound. It is good if you take care of it, not like I did, and it has a lot of extra buttons, PGM for example puts the songs in the order you want, it is quite helpful at times. The double bass is not too significant. The hand holder is very useful, and their design helps to make it easy to move around. I am notoriously clumsy and am known to break electronics extremely quickly. Before purchasing this CD player I had gone through five CD players within the space of a year (of various brands...i think i had two panasonics, one classic, one other kind of sony, and one aiwa). I decided to splurge a little for this discman and was not disappointed. I have had this for almost two years now, drop it almost daily (often from considerable height onto tile floors or concrete), often store it at the bottom of my heavily loaded backpack and it is still in perfect working order. I think that the sound functions are starting to go, as i now have to purchase new headphones every two weeks, but I think I will buy the exact same discman again to replace it, because it is by far the best CD player I have ever had. | 5 | 754 days ago | Nice sound and rugged enough for the clumsiest
I recieved this player as a gift a little more than a year ago and couldn't be happier. The sound quality is nice and clear, there's plenty of bass boost for my taste, and the design is quite good.

<br />The headphones that came with it were pretty decent. Being a cheapskate, I use the headphones that come with a player until they break, and this took nearly a year. Their design, however, leaves a bit to be desired. It is hard to keep them on one's head, and their width is not appropriate for those with smaller heads (like mine). They also warp rather easily.

I swear to god this cd player never skips. I bought a very cheap cd player from someone and all it did was skip, you could throw this cd player against the wall and it would not skip, and better yet the batteries last a super long time with my old cd player I had to change batteries ever two days. | 5 | 754 days ago |
