| Review | Rating | Last Updated | The Truth about Resident Evil 3... As I have mentioned before in my past reviews, I did not and will not buy Resident Evil 2 or Resident Evil 3 for Gamecube, I just don't feel like they gave the fans what they could have given them. In the fact that Resident Evil Remake, for Gamecube, is far better than the original Resident Evil on PSX 1.

That out of the way, let's slip once again into the Survival Horror genre with Resident Evil 3. To be flat-out-honest I loved this game from begining to end. Never once did I find myself annoyed or slowed down with any problems while playing this game. The graphics and sound are not much more than Resident Evil 2 gave us BUT the game itself seems to flow seemlessly with RE 2 in every aspect.

I feel that Capcom hit the nail on the head with this game as they did with Resident Evil 2... heck thus far they have done a real bang up job making these games. In closing all I can tell you is that not trying Resident Evil 3 would be a mistake... as the game has everything in it that you would need for a heartpounding experience of fun. | 4 | 775 days ago | Better than RE2, but only by a little. Gameplay:
The controls feel a lot more comfortable and easy to use in this game, and the weapons are limitless. Everytime I start a new game I have all the weapons in my item box already. This game is so easy I once beat it in one day! I love how they let you turn quickly unlike in the others.

Monsters:
The zombies in this game really frighten me, especially the super zombie (I don't mean the Nemesis). The super zombie is real hard to find and it's toward the end of the game. I won't spoil it but be sure to look for it. The Nemesis is also real scary. His rocket launcher looks real old and rusty, making him look like he's been layin' underwater for a long time. I noticed how he really resembles Mr. X from RE2 in many ways. Both wear trench coats, both are big, both are immune to gunfire, neither feels like taking any mercy, they both pick you up if you are on their right side, and they mutate gradually. At first I actually got the idea that they were both the same creature, but then realized, nope. Also, in case no one noticed, when you go into the area with the trolly car (Before getting the parts to use it), and you look at the firey area ahead of it, you'll notice that it's the same area that RE2 started in. You see the huge truck, crashed into the building, and you can just tell it's the same area. To prove it, just look at both maps in RE2 and RE3. It's the same spot, believe me. So obviously both games take place in pretty much the same area, except all the wreckage blocks Jill, Claire, and Leon from ever meeting, although that would be interesting. Apparently they never meet, at least not from what I've seen.

Story:
It's very simple at first. Umbrella's T-Virus infects the whole city, but sends their mercenaries to clean up the mess. The police department gets infected, so there's almost no hope. Except for Jill, who resigns from S.T.A.R.S., and prepares to escape the city. The apartment she lives in blows up and s | 5 | 775 days ago | The best RE yet! So far, I've played 1, 2, and 3, and this is probably my favorite.

Gameplay:10/10: This time you are Jill from the original. Lots of areas, like the city, police station, hospital, park, clock tower, it's a big game! You also have a dodge move. And, the stalker zombie, Nemesis, makes the game shine, he's fun to fight. You also sometimes make choices on events! And a new Mercanaries mode adds to the fun.

Music:8/10: Your standard horror tunes. Gotta love Nemmy's theme.

Sound:9/10: Decent voices this time, and cool sound.
Overall, if you are looking for a top notch horror game, you gotta get this! | 5 | 775 days ago | Return to Racoon city... Resident Evil 3: Nemesis - Circa 2000

GOOD:
- Nemesis enemy adds a new twist to the game and makes it more intense
- Good story, with twists and turns
- Some nice bonus mini games to unlock

BAD:
- Graphics look pretty dated
- Voice acting is not that great
- Controls feel dated

WILL IT FIT YOUR TASTE:
- Slow moving "survival horror" game, which is more about moving boxes, managing items, and unlocking doors then actually fighting for your life
- A Sc-Fi horror game set in a city over run with zombies, and a super zombie called Nemesis

GAME ITS MOST ASSOCATED TOO:
- Resident Evil 2
- Dino Crisis 2
- Silent Hill
- Alone in the dark

ADDITIONAL NOTES:
- Half of this game takes places during the events of Resident Evil 2
- There is a remake of this game for the Nintendo Game Cube, which doesn't really upgrade anything
- The playable character (Jill) was also one of the playable characters in the first Resident Evil
- In Japan Resident Evil 3: Nemesis is called Biohazard: Last Escape | 3 | 775 days ago | NnyCW for Capcom City Resident Evil 3: Nemesis adds a nice touch to the Resident Evil formula. Not only do you have to deal with oncoming hordes of zombies, but now you have another worry...being chased by a Nemesis that will come after you no matter what you do to try and stop it. The addition of Nemesis made this game one of the most enjoyable, and my favorite of the Resident Evil\'s. The addition to now be able to walk up stairs without pressing a button really did help way back when, though wondering how that was ever not a feature in the games is a bit of a puzzlement. And on the subject of puzzles, the only flaw this game has is the \"water puzzle\" near the end of the game. Only because it is totally random. Meaning you can get lucky and solve it in 20 seconds, or it could take about 30 minutes to beat. But other than that, this is a great game that any Resident Evil fan should have in their collection.
