I like the stainless steel look of the microwave, a little larger than your typical dorm microwaves so make sure you have room for it and a stable surface (I use a $12 Ikea cofee table and it's perfect). Only problem is this Micro makes a racket! It's got loud beeping and a loud power ON noise when the microwave is zapping your food on high. Overall, it doesn't look flimsy and I didn't have to worry about carrying it home, it was delivered for free!! | 5 | 771 days ago | Steamy microwave
This microwave would rate 5 stars if it did not steam up and get hot when cooking on high for over 3 or 4 minutes. I can not possibly get this heavy oven to a servicecenter as was suggested when I called Sanyo. The unit has enough air space around it. Does anyone else have this problem?

We purchased this unit in March, 2003 (with a one year warranty). Suddenly, in December, it stopped working. Since, we have been back and forth to the Sanyo appointed service agent three times, spoke to Sanyo respresentatives on the phone numerous times, and the unit is still with the service shop. It does not seem that the problem is fixable! Sanyo's support has been quite bad. They have not returned phone calls as promised; have not follow-up even though they promised to; and the service shop seems to be clueless! Update: 3/04.
