| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Useless paperweight Worst audio product I've ever purchased. Can't even use the RADIO without terrible interference & static. Any audio input run through this piece of junk comes out the other side muffled & popping.
Really not any value here. Motorola even replaced my item with a brand new one once....same problems. So, basically, this thing was designed by the Motorola summer interns. | 1 | 797 days ago | Great for the price! I picked up a refurbished unit, it was supposed to have been new with a damaged box. It had the front display panel protector peeled, and the cable box number cut and taped to the manual. This indicated to me it was a return i.e. refurb instead of new damaged box.

I didn't buy through Amazon. I only paid $125 including shipping.

It works great for this price, I haven't activated the cable box because analog cable works like any TV tuner would. I don't subscribe to digital cable.
I'm happy with mine. | 5 | 797 days ago | Great sound, good DVD player, NO CABLE Support from Charter I got tired of DVD, VCR, CD, RECEIVER, REPLAY TV, CABLE BOX and wanted a stand alone unit that could do all except the ReplayTV. This unit promised that.

The sound (movie) is exceptional for something at this price point. The sound is definitely better than the Denon 1603 it is replacing (build quality is nowhere near it, but I paid much more for the Denon.)

The DVD player is excellent (granted my old DVD player was 6 years old and my TV is not HD.)

However, Charter (my cable company at least until I can find a new one) does not support Motorola Cable boxes in the Northeast. As a result, I still have to use my cable box or run component to this receiver from the box and pretend that the cable is Video1. If I do that, I lose all the features of Digital Cable.

All in all, I am happy with this product at this price (as my DVD player broke a day before this arrived.) I am just not happy with Charter. However, if it wasn't 40 pounds, I would definitely return it.

One last bit of information. One of the speaker inputs broke. I guess it couldn't handle the thicker range of speaker cable. Sound works fine, but I might have to go behind the unit to fix it now and then. However, for one hundred fifty with free shipping, this is a good to excellent purchase. | 3 | 797 days ago | Very useful product!! This receiver did exactly what I needed it to do. It plays CD's, DVD's, and radio. The remote controls every function and I can even run my VCR, DVD player, etc... through it. It also hooks up to my surround sound system. It's a pretty big item, so you need to check the dimensions to make sure it will fit in your display cabinet. Other than that, happy shopping. | 4 | 797 days ago | A great deal! Works and sounds Great! Built like a tank! I love this unit. It's classic Motorola. Very well built (read: big). The only complaints I have are regarding the front panel: The labels are hard to see, and the layout is quirky. It sounds great and was easy to set up. It probably was overpriced at $899, but at under $200, it's a steal.
