Great 1st steam cleaner for pet owners This is the first steam cleaner that I have purchased. We have 3 dogs and are trying to sell our house. Before renting a steamer or paying for a professional cleaning, we decided to try it ourselves. After reading mostly good reviews for the Hoover Agility and many mixed reviews for other models, we chose the Agility for the price. I have just finished steam cleaning our dining room where there were two large pet stains that were there prior to the purchase of this house. There was also a series of trickles from our puppy. After cleaning the carpets twice, the stains are almost completely gone. No more trickles, either! I also cleaned the stairs, hallway, and a guest bedroom upstairs. I was absolutely amazed by the amount of hair and dirt in the recovery tank even after the second steaming. I was nervous at first because the recovery tank was not flush with the unit, but it still meets the gasket. I have not had any problems with leaks whatsoever. I'm not sure how long the brushes on the unit will last with all of the dog hair, but I have already paid for the cost of this steamer and still have lots of carpet to clean!	5	770 days ago
Its Almost Paid for Itself I bought this back in January 2006, and I've used it three times now. I absolutely love it. I got tired of toting one of those big, heavy commercial rental machines to and from the hardware store, and I couldn't stand to use one of those other machines the grocery stores rent as after hours of use, my arms and hands continued to vibrate as if I'd been using a jack hammer all day. We have two Aussie/Lab dogs, so 8 muddy (i.e. GA red clay) feet bounding across the carpets after a rain would give cause for frequent rug shampoos, plus one of the dogs throws up at least once a week when someone isn't home to immediately clean up. We also have very light/almost white carpet that "came with the house," so it was getting to be such an ordeal to go get a machine just for more spot rather than whole house cleaning. The rugs would stay dirty for months until I would have the time or could work up the energy to go through the process of retrieving a machine and lifting the heavy thing in and out of the car. I also couldn't afford to have the rugs professionally cleaned as often as they would need it. <br /> <br />This machine has cleaned up all of the dirt, pet stains, etc. with no problem. The first time I used it, I did not pre-treat the red dirt/clay areas, and the machine lifted them out just fine; however, I probably had to pass over those spots a couple or a few times to get all of the dirt out. The carpets looked fantastic when I was done! The second time I used it, I did pre-treat the red dirt areas, and again, the areas came clean as a whistle, but I did not have to pass over the same area more than once. I would suggest pre-treating areas that seem to be heavily soiled so that you don't waste your time or use more cleaning solution than really needed. <br /> <br />Today, I used it primarily for the areas where the dog has gotten sick (I pre-treated these spots with pet enzyme solution), and there was also red dirt, which I did not pre-treat, in the heavy traf	5	770 days ago
Used Only Once - Loved it I have had several shampooers before but this one is the best and it lived up to its good reviews. Easy to use and it cleaned the carpet. You can quickly tidy up the machine itself as well. A well designed, compact machine that I won't hesitate to pull out of the closet to use again.	5	770 days ago
AWESOME CARPET AND FURNITURE CLEANER!! THIS WAS OUR FIRST TIME BUYING A CARPET CLEANER AND I WAS VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE RESULTS. HAVING TWO SMALL CHILDREN AND TWO CATS MY CARPET WAS FILTHY SO I ENDED UP CLEANING IT TWICE IN SOME AREAS WITH THE HOOVER AGILITY AND THEY LOOK BRAND NEW AGAIN. IT WAS VERY EASY TO USE AND VERY LIGHT IN WEIGHT SO IT WAS EASY TO PUSH. I LIKED THE FACT THAT IT CAME ASSEMBLED SO WE DIDIN'T HAVE TO ASSEMBLE ANYTHING. AFTER READING THE DIRECTIONS WE BEGAN USING IT RIGHT AWAY. WE CLEANED OUR CARPETS PLUS WE USED THE ATTACHMENT TO CLEAN OUR CHAIR'S SEAT CUSHIONS. WE USED TO CALL A PROFESSIONAL CARPET STEAMER CLEANER CO. TO CLEAN OUR CARPETS AND USED TO PAY $240 EVERY TIME NOT INCLUDING SEAT CUSHIONS. WE BOUGHT THE HOOVER AGILITY FOR UNDER $200 AND OUR CARPETS LOOK AS CLEAN AS AS THEY DID WITH THE PROFESSIONAL CARPET CLEANING COMPANY. I'M VERY HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS AND WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT TO OTHERS. YOU MAY HAVE TO CLEAN TWICE AS I DID IN AREAS WHERE THE CARPET WAS VERY DIRTY BUT YOU'LL BE HAPPY WITH THE RESULTS. THE WATER TANKS WERE VERY EASY TO REMOVE AND PUT BACK IN PLACE. FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO COMPLAINED ABOUT THE CLEANER LEAVING THE CARPETS WET OR NOT PICKING UP ENOUGH WATER, READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!! YOU'RE SUPPOSSED TO GO OVER THE CARPET SLOWLY SEVERAL TIMES TO PICK UP AS MUCH WATER AS POSSIBLE AFTER YOU CLEAN IT, THE MORE TIMES YOU GO OVER IT THE DRYER THE CARPETS BECOME PLUS YOU SHOULD OPEN YOUR WINDOWS AFTER YOU CLEAN AND THAT HELPS TO REDUCE THE DRYING TIME. Great Product Have had this for two months and just love it! It really is as easy as they say. You lift it out of the box and plug it in. It is super easy to use and clean up. Have had a Kirby forever and this is so much better. Customer service is great. Ours arrived with the tool caddy broken on the side, and they sent us another right away. We do not use the brushes, on the advise of several carpet vendors, and we still get great results. We also only use half of the soap they recommend (or just hot water on lightly soiled areas), and make it a point of rinsing it well. You do have to go slowly, but a bigger problem for us is just deciding where to stop! We always end up doing more than we started out to do! Haven't had a chance to work on the staircase yet, but so far it has worked better than we expected, so we are very happy.	5	766 days ago
