Piece of JUNK. Lid does not stay secured while chopping; very cheap thin plastic is used making the appliance unsturdy for heavy duty chopping ie: Carrots. Look, want to make really lean ground meat? A minichopper should do that, right? You buy a slab of pork or beef that's low in marbling, cut it into cubes and this should make you ground meat. Well, it'll jam, even if you only put 3 or 4 cubes in it.<br />

It wears out quick.<br />

Going to crush any ice or grind meat? Spend money on a higher wattage stronger machine.<br />
<br />
Otherwise, you'll just buy one after another after another of these.<br />

I have owned this chopper since my first born (2002) was just 8 months old and used it for her to make table food into baby food. I now have another daughter born in May and I broke out my trusty little chopper and it still works great for chopping up a bit of meat, veggie and rice or potato to make fresh, homemade baby food. My daughter thoroughly enjoys having a bit of texture to her dinners now that she is 8 months old and this leaves just enough texture to food that it is not like soup for her.

<br />This cleans up very easily, goes right in the dishwasher (I have used a heat dry and it has not warped it, but I make sure I only put it on the top rack). The blade still chops great, but as others have said, this is NOT made for heavy duty chopping of ice or hard veggies. For soft-cooked foods it is perfect!!

<br />Not only that, but it is cheap enough that you can buy two to rotate through your dishwasher cycle and always have a clean bowl and blade ready to go!

<br />Pluses: Small, compact, works well for baby food preparation. Safety feature built into the lid - the unit will not work without the cover on it properly. Takes up no counter space and stores in a drawer if you want.

After reading the customer reviews (all 5 star) I decided that this chopster would be a good buy. I received my delivery today from Amazon (Only took about 3 days) and am very pleased. The unit is sturdy & durable, easy to take apart & clean, simple to put back together, priced correctly and fun to use.

<br />It is a small appliance, not for big jobs. The bowl holds up to 1 1/2 cups of food. Cut food into uniform 1/2 inch pieces before processing. The unit is safe to use as the blades will not spin unless the lid is locked into place.
