| Review | Rating | Last Updated | Good value, no problems with this Brita filter I love this filter. It has functioned perfectly for me without any problems. Just yesterday the "red light" change indicator came on after contanst use for 4 months. I think that is much better value than the Brita pitchers. Plus, there is no "plastic" taste if your water sits in the fridge pitcher too long. I highly recommend this water filter. | 5 | 793 days ago | "Red Stuff" WARNING! Believe it or not there was red stuff inside!!!!!

Today I unscrew my "Brita Ultra Faucet Filter System". Well, I was shocked to discover that inside the faucet mount and on both water mouths there was red stuff growing.

I called Brita and was told that it is not the product, SINCE IT IS NOT EVEN DESIGNED TO FILTER OUT BACTERIA, it must be the water. Long story short: Brita still pushes it product on people who doesn't know better.

This product is poorly designed and drains bad, therefore bacteria or other nasty things could multiply in it. Since it doesnt filter out bacteria the scenario is not a pleasant one.

IF you buy this system it means that you dont know a lot about water filters and what you want to filter out. Neither did I, you have to be a chemist to understand the lingo.
Stay away since this product may be harmfull to your health by its poor quality. | 1 | 793 days ago | Cheap, but you can do better. My problem with this unit is after the first filter the LED lights no longer work. Is there a battery? If yes, how do I change it? Does it hurt this filter if you run hot water through it? Easy to do by mistake, but no answer I can find. Everyone is worried about chemicals and lead, but that's kids stuff. Bacteria will make you sick! For the price they charge for these filters you will save in the long run AND get better purification with an under sink unit. I have no idea. I am going on to a under sink filter. Cheaper in the long run AND they filter bacteria. | 2 | 793 days ago | Not so durable...another plastic failure? Mine started leaking between where it attaches to the faucet and the main body of the filter, but it lasted about 8 months and did the job. Too bad that it's not constructed out of more durable materials as the sink gets hard and heavy use...there is a year warranty on the thing and this one is going back. | 3 | 793 days ago | call for a replacement My collar was stripped the first time I took it off, but they replaced it with a call to 1 800 24 brita | 5 | 793 days ago |
