First the good, it is convenient, just push a button and you get good quality Epresso shots with good crema, but that's about where it ends. The first unit even though it was factory sealed was missing a key part, the cap to the water level sensor, which means just to get it working I had to manufacture a cap out of a wad of plastic wrap. I was ok with that aspect but what is completely unacceptable with this machine is its leak. For about the first 2 or 3 months on both units it worked great, but then started developing a leak. From talking with the tech line, and getting some hints, I suspect this is a problem in the Brew Group, with the filter or other components getting clogged. I've followed the tech line directions to clean out the ball joint but that's not the problem!!!!!. After much careful inspection of the Brew Group, I believe it's with the micro-screen the espresso shot is pushed through becoming clogged. No amount of cleaning of either the screen or the ball has gotten the leak to subside. Which means you have to brew 4 shots to ALMOST get 2. what a waste of good express bean, not to mention the leaking water pours on the counter and I am going through napkins and towels at a rate that is going to prompt me to take this unit back a 3rd time. EVERY TIME I BREW I END UP WITH A FLODDED COUNTERTOP *( I am glad I got the extended warranty)* and this 3rd time I am not going to bring the unit home if the store will at least provide with an in store credit, otherwise I will plan to be selling the 3rd unopened unit and going back to a more professional Automatic model forgoing the convenience of the super-automatic machines features. 2 800 days ago terrible warranty service Had this machine for 3 months when it started leaking water. Sent the machine back for warranty work and after 7 weeks and numerous phone calls they have finally repaired the broken faucet and are shipping it back to me. For the price you pay for these machines the turnaround on warranty repairs is unacceptably long. I would never buy a Saeco product again. 1 799 days ago Loooove this machine!! I have never, ever, ever been driven to write a review of a product on this site before but I *had* to put in my two cents on this one. We have had this machine in my office for probably a year now. Believe me, this is a NICE work perk. In fact, I'm looking at this item on Amazon right now because I want to buy one for my husband for our 10th anniversary... a self-serving gift, indeed!! The digital display makes running the machine child's play and -most importantly - it brews delicious, aromatic shots with beautiful, thick crema. The 13 or so highly-caffeinated women and men that work with me have given this machine a serious work out. I just checked the machine's "total coffees brewed" count (yes, the Vspresso can even tell you how many coffees it has brewed ... I swear, if I actually read the manual I could probably program it to change the copier toner!) We've made well over 1000 espressos on this machine and we have never had a complaint. In fact, even when I did something stupid (poured pre-ground coffee into the bean hopper...d'oh!) the customer service folks at Saeco were really nice & helpful and didn't even laugh at me although I deserved it. (It was simple to fix that little mistake and there was no need to take it/send it anywhere.) One more thing -- the little slot where you can use "alternate" pre-ground beans (like decaf or <shudder> flavored coffees) is genius! Who wants to taste the ghost of your co-worker's favorite Irish-cream-raspberry in your otherwise-perfect Americano? What can I say - it's easy to use, reliable, and makes absolutely wonderful espresso. I recommend it without reservation!!! 5 799 days ago V'spresso - Coffee Done Right! What more can I ask for?!? Perfectly brewed coffee at a touch of a button! The V'spresso is extremely user-friendly with multiple features to suit any coffee lovers' needs. The bypass doser is especially great for those evening decafs or special pre-ground coffee delights. The design is sleek and stylish and will look great on any kitchen counter top! For the excellent price and quality of this Saeco machine, I can rely on its durability, reliability, and more importantly, its capability of fulfilling my coffee desires. In our case, it stopped accepting that the drip tray was in place. At first I called Saeco's customer service - could not get a human - had to leave a message. They called me back several DAYS later! I called a local coffee machine repair place and asked them about the issues we were having - they suggested doing a thorough cleaning - maybe there was some blockage from the tray going in all the way. We did - it worked, but only for another day. Now nothing we do will get it to clear the "tray missing" message. For the price of this machine, I would have expected it to last a little longer than ONE MONTH before it started breaking. That, coupled with the fact that my brother has the exact same model, and his sprung a leak - (He's sent it in to Saeco to be fixed under warranty - but it will be about 2 months before he gets his back) - I decided to return it as defective. I loved the coffee this machine made when it worked though. Very disappointing. 1 799 days ago V'spresso produces lukewarm coffee.... I was initially happy with my purchase because I thought V'spresso had everything I wanted in a super automatic espresso maker. However, I had the machine for 3 weeks when it started producing lukewarm coffee. I exhanged that model for a brand new machine. The second one never produced hot espresso, either. The temperature for the first shot was around 120 degrees. The second was better but not the expected 165-170 degrees. Hot water and the steaming were fine. If you like your coffee lukewarm, this is a fine machine.
