KidsHubs in Kenya

by BeckyD on March 12, 2015

KenyaOur KidsHub friends at CLMC (Christian Learning Materials Centre) in Nairobi, Kenya run several children’s programs including the Kids Hubs projects in Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH) and The Uzima Centre.

The goal for these projects is to facilitate holistic child development through discipleship, talent explosion and nurturing child leadership.

In the past year, CLMC has been able to recruit and minister to approximately 500 children in both projects and the program has since seen tremendous growth and ownership from the community and churches around the project locations.

At the hospital leaders spend time with the children. They learn how to do craft, tell Bible stories, sing and pray together.

The Uzima Centre Hub hosts 4 different programs in sports, music & drama, cooking and art & craft. These projects accommodate children from 0 to 13 years with a group of young teens and volunteers who help out with the younger children groups.

Lucy who heads up CLMC came to a KidsHubs training in Uganda last year and now look what they’re doing! Great work team!
