“We can help cast vision and do training with other countries because we are already working well in our nation.”

“I learned that our sisters are living what they are teaching us…their passion is real. My prayer is that this message will reach all over.”

“We have to build personal relationships with one another. We lack doing love in our country.  Even in churches there is distrust.”

These are some of the comments made by the participants of the first 1for50 West Africa regional meeting which met in Togo just after Christmas. The 47 participants came from 6 different countries – Benin, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria and Togo. They met to explore how they could work together to train more people to evangelise and disciple children in their countries.

As they worked together to plan their national strategies, they realised that the key was building relationships and trust between the churches and between the national committees. It is only as they worked together as a team would they be able to reach each child in West Africa.
